Multi-part surface-mountable physical-activity lamina and method of producing and assembling such
11327692 · 2022-05-10 ·

A method is provided of producing and assembling a multi-part surface-mountable physical-activity lamina for use in aiding or supplementing a physical-activity in a physical-activity environment. There is a step a] of providing a first graphic design model of the lamina; and b] segmenting the first graphic design model into a plurality of graphic design model portions. A step c] follows of arranging the graphic design model portions into a more compact second graphic design defining a reduced surface area; and then d] the second graphic design being applied to a lamina substrate having another surface area. The lamina substrate is then separated into lamina elements corresponding to the graphic design model portions, followed by a step e] of assembling the lamina elements onto a mounting surface at a physical-activity environment to form the surface-mountable physical-activity lamina.

Methods of Using Compression Collars for Coupling a Tube to a Tube Fitting

A method for coupling a tube to a tube fitting includes radially outwardly expanding a tubular compression collar from a constricted state to an expanded state, the compression collar having a throughway extending there through and being made of a resiliently flexible material. An end of the tube is inserted within the throughway of the expanded compression collar, the tube bounding a passage. A tube fitting is inserted within the passage of the tube. The compression collar is allowed to resiliently rebound back towards the constricted state so that the compression collar pushes the tube against the tube fitting.

Pressing tool, system and method for producing a tight connection of a press connector to a workpiece

The invention relates to a system for producing a sealed connection of a press connector to a workpiece, in particular to a pipe, preferably to a plastic pipe, with a pressing tool for pressing a press connector and with a pressure tool for driving the pressing tool. The pressure tool is arranged to output a hydraulic pressure at a pressure generation point The pressing tool is arranged to receive a hydraulic pressure at a pressing location and to press a press connector accordingly. The pressure tool and the pressing tool are connected via a hydraulic pressure transmission connection, the pressure generation location and the pressing location being remote from each other. A corresponding method for producing a tight connection of a press connector to a workpiece, in particular to a pipe made of a flexible material, preferably a plastic pipe, as well as a press force translator and a press tool are also described.

Apparatus and Method for Automatic Tire Ply Stitching

An automatic splicing apparatus and methods thereof are provided herein for splicing together two ends of a sheet of tire material on a tire building drum. The apparatus comprises a frame, a splicer foot assembly, and a splicer roller assembly. The frame is configured to support the apparatus relative to the drum. The splicer foot assembly and the splicer roller assembly are independently longitudinally translatable relative to the frame. The splicer foot assembly includes a splicer foot having forward lower preparation rollers and rearward lower splicer rollers, and upper preparation rollers configured to operate in coordination with the forward lower preparation rollers to pull the two ends of the sheet of tire material together over the splicer foot. The splicer roller assembly includes upper splicer rollers configured to act in coordination with the rearward lower splicer rollers to splice the two ends together.

SELF-TAPPING PLASTIC EMBOSSMENT FOR INJECTION MOLDED PARTS

A molded part includes a plurality of surfaces and an embossment extending from one of the plurality of surfaces. The embossment includes a body and a bore extending through a central portion of the body. The embossment further includes a first pocket extending through a sidewall of the body and into the bore and a second pocket extending through an opposite sidewall of the body and into the bore. The first pocket and the second pocket each define inwardly tapered walls. The first pocket and the second pocket are spaced axially along the body and are diametrically opposed.

Lightning protection in aircrafts constructed with carbon fiber reinforced plastic

The embodiments described herein provide for lightning protection in aircrafts constructed with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a first Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) panel, a second CFRP panel that overlaps with the first CFRP panel in a vertical direction, and a fastener to join the first CFRP panel with the second CFRP panel, the fastener extending in the vertical direction in an area where the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel overlap. The apparatus further includes a plurality of electrically conductive pins in each of the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel, wherein the pins extend in the vertical direction proximate to the fastener to electrically connect the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel in the area where the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel overlap.

Method of forming a foldable or collapsible plastic/composite utility enclosure

A method of forming and assembling a foldable plastic utility enclosure using molds to form sides of the enclosure, preferably using glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite. The molds are constructed to form a central hole in hinge members which are formed on ends of the sides. The central hole of the hinge member is molded with two molding parts, wherein one or both of the molding parts have a solid central portion that forms the central hole. The sides are removed from the molds after curing and the sides are assembled to form the utility enclosure while the sides are still hot from the molding process. Hinge pins are inserted into the central holes of the hinge members to form hinges and to prevent the sides from warping during cooling. Assembling the sides and inserting hinge pins to form the utility enclosure is completed within approximately 10 minutes after removing the sides from the molds.

Insulating device and method for forming insulating device

An insulating device can include an aperture having a waterproof closure which allows access to the chamber within the insulating device. The closure can help prevent any fluid leakage into and out of the insulating device if the insulating device is overturned or in any configuration other than upright. The closure may also prevent any fluid from permeating into the chamber if the insulating device is exposed to precipitation, other fluid, or submersed under water. This construction results in an insulating chamber that is substantially impervious to water and other liquids when the closure is sealed.
