A fitment is provided and includes a top portion, a base, and a channel extending through the top portion and the base for passage of a flowable material. The base includes a pair of opposing sidewalls. The sidewalls extend around the channel. The sidewalls are joined together at opposing ends. The fitment further includes at least one sealing rib extending along the sidewalls. The sealing rib includes an ethylene/-olefin multi-block copolymer.

A sealing tool includes an anvil and a horn, at least one of which includes a sealing surface having a gusset sealing section and a zipper sealing section, each configured differently than the other. The gusset sealing section includes a plurality of sealing beads including a gusset section barrier sealing bead having a first height and a protective sealing bead having a second height, the second height being smaller than the first height. The zipper sealing section includes a zipper section barrier sealing bead extending and a tapered section adjacent to the zipper section sealing bead, the tapered section tapering from a larger height adjacent to the zipper section sealing bead to a smaller height as a distance away from the zipper section sealing bead increases.
SONOTRODE HAVING COATED INLET PORTION
A sonotrode or ultrasonic welding apparatus for ultrasonically processing a material, including a sealing surface adapted to contact the material to be processed, a rear surface opposite to the sealing surface, and a circumferential lateral surface connecting the sealing surface to the rear surface, the lateral surface having two side surfaces arranged substantially parallel to each other and two end surfaces arranged substantially parallel to each other. In order to provide a sonotrode or ultrasonic welding apparatus for processing a material, which at least reduces damage to the material and at the same time does not impair the production speed, it is proposed that the sealing surface has a convexly curved inlet section which adjoins the lateral surface, and wherein the sealing surface has a coating at least in a section.
BELT SPLICING MACHINE
A belt splicing machine includes two pressing plates respectively arranged at an upper side and a lower side and opposite to each other. The pressing plate located at the upper side and the pressing plate located at the lower side are respectively mounted on a support located at the upper side and a support seat located at the lower side. A heating sheet, a clamping plate, and an airbag are successively arranged between the pressing plate located at the upper side and the support seat from bottom to top. The clamping plate is fixedly connected to the pressing plate. A connecting plate is arranged between the airbag and the clamping plate. The clamping plate is fixedly connected to the support seat. A plurality of elongated grooves are formed on the lower side surface of the connecting plate along its length direction.
METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR JOINING A COVER LAYER TO AN OBJECT, AS WELL AS COVER LAYER SUITABLE FOR THE METHOD
A method and installation for joining a cover layer to an object in a continuous process. Joining is effected with the aid of a joining material having thermoplastic properties, wherein the joining material is arranged between the cover layer and the object and is liquefied using ultrasonic vibration energy. Before application of the ultrasonic vibration energy, the joining material is preheated in a contactless manner with the aid of electromagnetic induction in the region of the glass transition temperature of the joining material or above this glass transition temperature. The object is in particular a chip board and the cover layer an edge strip to be joined to an edge of the chip board.
Bonding method and device
A bonding target object and a film including a layer having lower toughness than the bonding target object are disposed between a set of pressurization molds, which have pressurization surfaces disposed so as to face each other and in which opening holes are formed in the pressurization surfaces. A first edge on the opening hole side of the pressurization surface of a first pressurization mold, out of the set of pressurization molds, which faces the film is positioned further inside the opening hole than a second edge on the opening hole side of the pressurization surface of a second pressurization mold which faces the bonding target object. The pressing target portion of the film which is pressed by the set of pressurization molds is bonded to the bonding target object by sandwiching the bonding target object and the film with the set of pressurization molds to be pressed.
Sandwich component and method for producing a sandwich component
A sandwich component has a first cover layer, a second cover layer, and a core disposed therebetween. In the sandwich component, the cover layers are each formed from an outer layer made of a fiber-reinforced thermoplast material having greater resistance to a certain solvent and, fused therewith, an inner layer made of a thermoplast material having lower resistance to the solvent. The core has outer layers, each of which is formed from a thermoplast material having lower resistance to the solvent, and an inner structure, which is formed entirely or partially from a thermoplast material having greater resistance to the solvent. The inner layers of the cover layers were each fused with one of the outer layers of the core with the use of the solvent.
Method for bonding composite materials and device for bonding composite materials
A method is used for a pair of bonding composite materials that are each provided with a melting material and a heat-resistant material. Each heat-resistant material includes a heat-resistant member and a binder member. The ceramic separators have ceramic layers that face each other and that are bonded. An ultrasonic wave is applied to the composite materials while applying a pressure thereto with a processing member. Also heat is applied to the binder members with a heating member. Here, the heater heats the binder members to a temperature that is greater than or equal to the glass transition temperature of the binder members and less than the melting point of the binder members.

The invention allows a filling of a bag, in particular a bag for medical purposes, without the necessity of providing a filling port on the bag.
In this way, resources and costs can be saved, preventing damage to the environment.
Sandwich component and method for producing a sandwich component
A sandwich component and method of producing the sandwich component are provided wherein the sandwich component has a first cover layer, a second cover layer, and a core disposed therebetween. In the sandwich component, the cover layers are each formed from an outer layer made of a fiber-reinforced high-melting-point thermoplast material and, fused therewith, an inner layer made of a low-melting-point thermoplast material. The core has outer layers, each of which is formed from a low-melting-point thermoplast material, and an inner structure, which is formed entirely or partially from a high-melting-point thermoplast material. The inner layers of the cover layers were each fused with one of the outer layers of the core.
