INTERNAL TENSIONING STRUCTURE USEABLE WITH INFLATABLE DEVICES
20200352347 · 2020-11-12 ·

An internal tensioning structure for use in an inflatable product fulfills the basic function of maintaining two adjacent inflatable surfaces in a desired geometric arrangement when the inflatable product is pressurized. The tensioning structure is formed by connecting a pair of plastic strips sheets via spaced-apart strands, such as strings or wires. When pulled taut, the strands provide a high tensile strength between the two opposed plastic strips. At the same time, the plastic strips facilitate a strong, long-lasting weld between the tensioning structure and the inflatable product.

Articles produced from automated fiber-placement systems and methods

An article of manufacture comprises a strip that extends along and is centered on a virtual curvilinear path, comprising an arc, having an arc length and a radius. A ratio of the strip-width to the radius is greater than or equal to 0.003. The arc length is equal to or greater than a product of the radius and /64. Within each of discrete strip-regions of the strip, one of the unidirectional reinforcement fibers that is closest to the first longitudinal strip-edge is more buckled than another one of the unidirectional reinforcement fibers that is closest to the second longitudinal strip-edge. Ones of the unidirectional reinforcement fibers that are buckled are parallel to a smallest one of virtual surfaces, joining the first longitudinal strip-edge and the second longitudinal strip-edge.

PACKAGING CONTAINER WITH PREFORMED SEALING RING

A packaging container for holding contents such as fresh food. The container comprises a tray having a flange, a pre-formed scaling ring and a flexible film for sealing in the contents of the tray. The sealing ring is made from fiber, filament or tape (FFT) that is shaped into a shape that matches the shape of the tray flange. The sealing ring is adhered to the tray flange by heat welding or other means and the flexible film is adhered to the sealing ring.

An electrode package includes an electrode pad to be attached to a subject, the electrode pad having a gel layer, a lead wire having one end electrically coupled to the gel layer, and a packaging cover having an opening portion, the opening portion being sealed such that the electrode pad and a part of the lead wire are housed inside the packaging cover. A sealing width in at least a part of a section where the packaging cover is sealed together with the lead wire is narrower than a sealing width in a section where only the packaging cover is sealed. A sealing apparatus is configured to seal the packaging cover.

Method for manufacturing fishing net
10808342 · 2020-10-20 · ·

Provided is a method for manufacturing a fishing net formed from a plastic net that can be handled by winding or folding although the net has plastic rigidity. The fishing net is manufactured by (1) a step of preparing a multifilament yarn formed by bundling a plurality of core-sheath type composite filaments, in each of which a core component is made of polyethylene terephthalate and a sheath component is made of polyolefin, (2) a step of preparing a yarn thread obtained by paralleling a plurality of the multifilament yarns, (3) a step of twisting or braiding four yarn threads 11, 12, 13, 14 to obtain a net constructed with strands 1 and intersections 2, (4) a step of heat-treating the net under without pressure to melt the sheath component of the yarn threads 11, 12, 13, 14 constituting the strands 1 and the intersections 2, followed by solidifying, thus obtaining a plastic net, and (5) a step of forming the fishing net using the plastic net.

Tool for HF welding, installation for producing a bag for medical purposes and method for operating such an installation

A system and method for producing a medical bag with an HF welder that uses upper and lower dies each having a plurality of electrode lamellae arranged such that they are alternatingly polarized relative to adjacent lamellae and opposing lamellae. Interspersed dielectric materials may be used to impart contours onto the film material to produce a patterned bag.

APPARATUS FOR FABRICATING AN ELASTIC NONWOVEN MATERIAL

An apparatus for fabricating an elastic nonwoven material generally includes a first bonding module and a second bonding module. The second bonding module is positionable in close proximity to the first bonding module for receiving a first nonwoven fabric, a second nonwoven fabric, and at least one elastic strand therebetween. The second bonding module has a face with a width dimension and a circumferential axis and is rotatable about a rotation axis. The face has a plurality of ridges includes a first ridge and a pair of second ridges positioned on opposing sides of the first ridge along the circumferential axis.
