Disclosed are an artificial marble composition having a natural marble texture, and a method for producing artificial marble using the same. The artificial marble composition according to the present invention comprises: a first resin mixture; and a second resin mixture which is added to the first resin mixture and has a viscosity different from the first resin mixture, wherein each of the first and second resin mixtures comprises a base resin and an inorganic filler, and wherein the second resin mixture further comprises a thixotropic agent.
Engineered stone and manufacturing method thereof
An engineered stone includes a light transmitting mother material (I) and a phosphorescent chip (II). The light transmitting mother material (I) includes about 7 wt % to about 12 wt % of an unsaturated polyester resin (A), about 88 wt % to about 93 wt % of a silica-containing compound (B) and about 0.01 part by weight to about 1 part by weight of an organic/inorganic pigment (C) based on about 100 parts by weight of the unsaturated polyester resin (A). The phosphorescent chip (II) includes about 8 wt % to about 15 wt % of an unsaturated polyester resin (A), about 85 wt % to about 92 wt % of a silica-containing compound (B) and about 2 parts by weight to about 10 parts by weight of a phosphorescent pigment (D) based on about 100 parts by weight of the unsaturated polyester resin (A).

Method and apparatus for forming a leveled surface of pasty masses
An apparatus and a method for forming a leveled surface of at least one pasty mass in a mold are described. Thereby, the mold is particularly adapted to mold lipstick mines, wherein the mold was filled with the pasty mass and the pasty mass was at least partially cooled in the mold. The apparatus comprises a means for at least partially melting the surface of the at least one cooled pasty mass in the mold to level the surface by heat introduction, wherein the heat introduction takes place via focused optical photo emission.
Methods and assemblies for forming features in composite components
Various methods and assemblies are provided for producing composite components having formed in features. For example, a method may comprise depositing a composite material on a base tool; aligning an aperture forming tool with a tooling aperture in the base tool; inserting the aperture forming tool through the composite material to form an aperture in the composite material; deploying a feature forming tool to press the composite material into one or more recesses; and processing the composite material with the feature forming tool in contact with the composite material. In some embodiments, the feature forming tool includes a stem extending through the composite material and into the base tool, as well as a feature forming head that is brought into contact with and processed with the composite material. In other embodiments, a tooling assembly holds a pin in place during processing to fix the pin in the composite component.
Method and apparatus for forming engineered stone
A compression device, means for controlling the compression device, a drum having an inner chamber, means for rotating the drum, and first and second delivery devices for delivering first and second materials into the inner chamber of the drum while the drum is rotating. The compression device compresses the first and second material in the inner chamber of the drum while the drum is rotating about the center of the drum in response to the means for controlling the compression device. The apparatus may include a stirring device; and a means for controlling the stirring device; wherein the stirring device is configured with respect to the drum so that the stirring device can be moved up and down to a desired depth within the drum and rotates within the inner chamber of the drum to stir the first and second materials in the drum while the drum is rotating.

The invention relates to a feeding apparatus for feeding pasty masses, in particular silicone, to an injection molding machine, having a pressing cylinder which receives the pasty mass, and a pressing plunger which is arranged axially in said pressing cylinder and presses the pasty mass out of a squeezing nozzle of the pressing cylinder. It is an object of the invention to avoid operational interruptions for cleaning work in the case of a feeding apparatus of this type and to avoid material losses within the feeding apparatus in the case of the successive use of different pasty masses. In order to achieve said object, the invention proposes that the pressing cylinder is configured as a cartridge (3) which contains the pasty mass, consists of a polymer, and can be inserted exchangeably into a supporting housing (2) which supports the cartridge on all sides and is connected to an axial actuating drive (5) for the pressing plunger (3d) which is situated in the cartridge.

Distinct conduits constructed into the structure supply chemically reacting constituents of the material that forms the structure.
