Methods of making the pipe are also disclosed.
System for additively manufacturing composite structures
A system is disclosed for additively manufacturing a composite structure. The system may include a support, and a print head connected to and moveable by the support. The system may also include an encoder configured to generate a signal indicative of an amount of material passing through the print head, and a controller in communication with the encoder. The controller may be configured to selectively implement a corrective action in response to the signal.
Thermal interface materials
A thermal interface material is disclosed. The material includes: a sheet extending between a first major surface and a second major surface, the sheet including: a base material; and a filler material embedded in the base material. The base material may include anisotropically oriented thermally conductive elements. In some embodiments, the thermally conductive elements are preferentially oriented along a primary direction from the first major surface towards the second major surface to promote thermal conduction though the sheet along the primary direction. In some embodiments, the base material is substantially free of silicone. In some embodiments, the thermal conductivity of the sheet along the primary direction is at least 20 W/mK, 30 W/mK, 40 W/mK, 50 W/mK, 60 W/mK, 70 W/mK, 80 W/mK, 90 W/mK, 100 W/mK, or more.
APPARATUS FOR WELDING
A irradiation welding apparatus including an irradiation welding generator having at least one irradiation welding head configured to apply an irradiation treatment to end contact surfaces of a first profile and a second profile to join the first profile and the second profile, where the at least one irradiation welding head forms a planar cross-sectional shape in an x-y directional plane relative to the irradiation welding generator.
PRODUCTION OF FLOOR MATS
A mat of one or more tiles of desired shape is provided. The mat is produced from a production mat manufactured as an integral unit with multiple tiles connected together according to various embodiments of this invention. The production mat may be divided into one or more mats of desired shape and size by severing the production mat between adjacent tiles. As such, the production mat may be cut into discrete mats, each having one or more tiles according to this invention. The entirety of the production mat is used as one or more mats according to aspects of this invention thereby avoiding waste and/or recycling of any portion of the production mat while utilizing each of the tiles in the production mat as part of the resulting mat(s). This avoids the need for any supplemental or auxiliary connecting means for joining two adjacent tiles to form a mat.
Method of forming a cut in a polymeric component
A method of forming a cut in a polymeric component includes providing a blade assembly including at least one blade, and a mandrel. The mandrel includes a rigid portion and a conformal support ring. The conformal support ring includes a material softer than the material forming the blade. A polymeric component is located between the mandrel and the at least one blade. The polymeric component is cut via the at least one blade. The at least one blade extends into the conformal support ring after the at least one blade has penetrated through the polymeric component.
Method for manufacturing car roller shutter door
The invention relates to a technical field of car roller shutter door production, in particular to a method for manufacturing a car roller shutter door. A single film piece is firstly vacuum formed into a desired shape, and then rubber is injected into the film piece after vacuum forming, so that the rubber and the film piece are integrally formed to form a single roller shutter strip, and then a required number of single roller shutter strips are placed and laminated on a flexible substrate in an integrated and orderly manner to form a car roller shutter door. Each of roller shutter strips is independent of each other and does not interfere or affect each other, which improves flexibility of the car roller shutter door. Compared with long strips of whole film sheet on the car roller shutter door in the prior art, each of film pieces of the present invention is independent of each other and does not have defect of easy fracture of the whole film sheet, which makes service life long. In addition, production of the single film piece is less expensive and more efficient, and pattern design is flexible. When one of the roller shutter strips is damaged, only the damaged roller shutter strip needs to be replaced in a targeted manner, avoiding the waste of resources and reducing maintenance costs.
RESILIENT CORES WITH CONVECTION BARRIERS PARTICULARLY FOR INFLATABLE BODIES AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
Resilient cores preferably for inflatable bodies having resilient slabs that define a plurality of generally columnar holes or resilient arrays of generally columnar solids, methods for making such slabs and arrays, and articles incorporating the same wherein the cores further includes thermal transmission mitigation means for improving a core's resistance to heat transfer beyond the core's innate insulative properties. Non-exclusive and non-exhaustive examples of such thermal transmission mitigation means in slab core embodiments include consideration to hole or bore geometric cross section, frequency, pattern and orientation, the introduction of a thermal barrier at or within at least some holes or bores, and/or slab material selection/treatment. Non-exclusive and non-exhaustive examples of such thermal transmission mitigation means in array core embodiments include consideration to the geometric cross section, frequency (density), pattern and orientation of the solids, the introduction of thermal barriers within inter-solid spaces and/or solid material selection/treatment.
Three dimensional printing
Various embodiments related to three dimensional printers, and reinforced filaments, and their methods of use are described. In one embodiment, a void free reinforced filament is fed into an extrusion nozzle. The reinforced filament includes a core, which may be continuous or semi-continuous, and a matrix material surrounding the core. The reinforced filament is heated to a temperature greater than a melting temperature of the matrix material and less than a melting temperature of the core prior to extruding the filament from the extrusion nozzle.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING COVER SHEETS TO ENDS, PREFORMED INTO CROSS BOTTOMS, OF TUBE PORTIONS
A device and a method for applying cover sheets to cross-bottoms of tubular sections made of a plastic material. The device includes conveyor devices for transporting the tubular sections and for depositing the cover sheets on the cross-bottoms in a deposit area. The device includes a hot gas device with a gas heater and a nozzle connected to the gas heater and oriented toward the deposit area for the cover sheets so when gas is supplied to the gas heater, the gas flows along a flow path from the gas supply through the gas heater and the nozzle into the deposit area. The hot gas device has a hot gas reservoir with an internal volume for the temporary storage of hot gas, the flow path running through the hot gas reservoir. A gas mass flow ({dot over (m)}1, {dot over (m)}2, {dot over (m)}ges) of gas supplied to the gas heater is adjustable by a control.
