The system can include a sensor system for measuring piezo-resistance of the fabric sensor when the fiber material is mounted in the mold during a molding process of an item in the mold. The system can include a computing device linked to the sensor system. The computing device can include a processor and a memory. The memory can include instructions that are executable by the processor for causing the processor to: responsive to receiving a plurality of measurements of current values associated with the fabric sensor from the sensor system, determining compaction forces associated with the liquid composite molding process.

The seal support frame also preferably includes a first end thereof including the annular extension, and a second end thereof spaced from the first end thereof along the longitudinal axis, with the first and second ends of the seal support frame joined by a hub of the outer peripheral sidewall of the seal support frame to define a cavity within the seal support frame for receiving the filter pack. The first and second ends of the seal support frame, and the filter pack are preferably joined and sealed to one another by a single bead of adhesive.

The planar heating element has a first planar side facing away from a visible side of the interior trim part and a second planar side opposite to the first planar side, the mold tool has a plurality of protrusions protruding into the cavity, and the first planar side is seated on at least a portion of the plurality of protrusions. The method further includes adding a foam material into the cavity to cover the planar heating element, such that a foam layer is formed on both the first and second planar sides.

The present disclosure describes lug clusters for composite tubes and methods for making such lug clusters. Lug clusters of the present disclosure may include a first side, a second side, and a saddle. The saddle may be placed in adjacent contact with a tube and a filament may be wound around the lug cluster and tube. The wound lug cluster and tube may be resin transfer molded. Machining may follow to remove material and finalize the shape of the lug cluster and/or tube. Thus, a lug cluster may be attached to a composite tube.
