Animal Toy and Method of Manufacture
An animal toy is provided constructed from a latex or natural rubber material and formed into a ball. The ball is formed of an aggregate of particulate material that are bound together to form a substantially non-hollow construction. Pieces of latex are joined together to form balls, and the balls may be pressed together and constructed by hand or, alternatively, pressed into molds. By constructing the balls by hand, no two balls, even balls of similar size, are identical. Each ball has irregular outer surface that forms a variety of resilient protuberances that provide beneficial oral hygiene effects when chewed or rubbed against the teeth.
TREATMENT AGENT FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
According to the present invention, there is provided a treatment agent for an additive manufacturing apparatus including a resin having an oxazoline group.
MANUFACTURING 3D PRINTED OBJECTS
The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a 3D printed object. The method comprises treating an outer surface of a 3D printed object with a dye condensing solvent vapour on the treated outer surface: and dissolving a portion of the treated outer surface in the condensed solvent to reduce the surface roughness of the 3D printed object.
MANUFACTURING 3D PRINTED OBJECTS
The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a 3D printed object. The method comprises condensing solvent vapour on an outer surface of the 3D printed object. The 3D printed object comprises polymer and radiation absorber. The outer surface of the 3D printed object a) comprises pores that absorb the solvent and b) has a surface roughness, Ra, of greater than 5 ?m. The method also comprises dissolving a portion of the 3D printed object to tailor the surface roughness, Ra, of the 3D printed object to a value of from 0.5 to 4 ?m.
THERMAL TREATMENT OF IRRADIATED MATERIAL SOLIDS USING A HEAT TRANSFER LIQUID
Irradiated material solids are thermally treated using a heat transfer liquid to improve the physical, chemical, mechanical and/or biochemical properties of the irradiated material solids.
Debinding of 3D Printed Objects
3D-printed parts may include binding agents to be removed following an additive manufacturing process. A debinding process removes the binding agents by immersing the part in a solvent bath causing chemical dissolution of the binding agents. The time of exposure of the 3D-printed part to the solvent is determined based on the geometry of the part, wherein the geometry is applied to predict the diffusion of the solvent through the 3D-printed part. The 3D-printed part is then immersed in the solvent bath to remove the binding agent, and is removed from the solvent bath after the time of exposure.
Wash liquids for use in additive manufacturing with dual cure resins
A method of forming a three-dimensional object, which method includes a cleaning or washing step, is carried out by: (a) providing a carrier and a fill level, and optionally an optically transparent member having a build surface defining the fill level, the carrier and the fill level having a build region therebetween; (b) filling the build region with a polymerizable liquid, the polymerizable liquid comprising a mixture of (i) a light polymerizable liquid first component, and (ii) a second solidifiable component that is different from the first component; (c) irradiating the build region with light, to form a solid polymer scaffold from the first component and also advancing the carrier away from the build surface to form a three-dimensional intermediate having the same shape as, or a shape to be imparted to, the three-dimensional object and containing the second solidifiable component carried in the scaffold in unsolidified and/or uncured form; (d) washing the three-dimensional intermediate; and (e) concurrently with or subsequent to the irradiating step, and/or the washing step, solidifying and/or curing the second solidifiable component in the three-dimensional intermediate to form the three-dimensional object.
Photosensitive resin composition for forming cell culture substrate
A photosensitive resin composition for cell culture substrates that enables the low-cost manufacture of a cell culture substrate, that can easily form patterns of various shapes when providing a pattern on the surface of a cell culture substrate, has low cytotoxicity, and that can form a cell culture substrate; a cell culture substrate that is formed using the photosensitive resin composition; and a cell culture substrate manufacturing method that uses the photosensitive resin composition. The photosensitive resin composition includes a photopolymerizable monomer and a photopolymerization initiator. The photopolymerizable monomer contains a defined amount of a polyfunctional monomer that is at least trifunctional, and the content of the photopolymerization initiator is within a prescribed range.
METHODS OF PRODUCING POLYURETHANE THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECTS FROM MATERIALS HAVING MULTIPLE MECHANISMS OF HARDENING
A method of forming a three-dimensional object of polyurethane, polyurea, or copolymer thereof is carried out by: (a) providing a carrier and an optically transparent member having a build surface, the carrier and the build surface defining a build region therebetween; (b) filling the build region with a polymerizable liquid, the polymerizable liquid including at least one of: (i) a blocked or reactive blocked prepolymer, (ii) a blocked or reactive blocked diisocyanate, or (iii) a blocked or reactive blocked diisocyanate chain extender; (c) irradiating the build region with light through the optically transparent member to form a solid blocked polymer scaffold and advancing the carrier away from the build surface to form a three-dimensional intermediate having the same shape as, or a shape to be imparted to, the three-dimensional object, with the intermediate containing the chain extender; and then (d) heating or microwave irradiating the three-dimensional intermediate sufficiently to form from the three-dimensional intermediate the three-dimensional object of polyurethane, polyurea, or copolymer thereof.
