DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SURFACE SMOOTHING ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED SHAPED PARTS CONSISTING OF PLASTIC
A method is provided for surface smoothing an additively manufactured shaped part consisting of plastic. The method has an explosion step with which the surface of the shaped part is smoothed in a process chamber by igniting a combustible process gas introduced into the process chamber, the surface of the shaped part being partly dissolved in at least some sections by the ignited process gas. Also provided is a device for surface smoothing additively manufactured shaped parts consisting of plastic.
TAMPER RESISTANT DOSAGE FORMS
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical dosage forms, for example to a tamper resistant dosage form including an opioid analgesic, and processes of manufacture, uses, and methods of treatment thereof.
Process of Dying Polymer Parts
Provided is a method of dyeing or otherwise surface treating a polymer part so as to provide a treated polymer part with a surface additive which has wash fastness with respect to alcohol solutions and therefore does not leach or transfer in response to contact with alcohol. The method includes preparing a surface treatment solution comprising a solvent and the surface additive; submerging a polymer part in the surface treatment solution for a set time period before in order to coat the surface of the part with the additive; air drying the part; vapor polishing the part by exposing an outer surface to vaporized hexafluoroisopropanol in order to bind the additive within the polymer; and finally washing the fixed coated part in a surfactant and water solution to produce a finished surface treated polymer part.
Process and apparatus for chemical smoothing of plastic parts
The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for chemical smoothing of a plastic part (10) produced by selective layerwise consolidation of a construction material. The process comprises the steps of: temperature-controlling the plastic part to a first temperature; temperature-controlling solvent vapour (8) comprising a solvent to a second temperature; subjecting the plastic part (10) to the solvent vapour (8) temperature-controlled to the second temperature for a particular duration, wherein the subjecting of the plastic part (10) to the solvent vapour (8) has the result that an outer layer of the plastic part (10) is liquefied; and discharging at least a portion of the solvent vapour (8) after the particular duration, wherein the plastic part (10) is stationary from commencement of the temperature-controlling of the plastic part until termination of the discharging of the solvent vapour (8).
A Manufacturing Method for a Reinforced Separator
A method of preparing a reinforced separator comprising the steps of:—providing a porous support (6) on a pre-wetted casting drum (23);—applying a dope solution (3) including a polymer resin and hydrophilic inorganic particles on a side of the porous support other than the side of the porous support in contact with the pre-wetted casting drum;—performing phase inversion (9, 1) of the applied polymer solution thereby obtaining a reinforced separator; and—removing the reinforced separator (7) from the casting drum; wherein the casting drum is pre-wetted with a non-solvent for the polymer resin.
REMOVAL OF ODORANTS FROM POST-CONSUMER POLYOLEFIN WASTE
A process for treating a recycled polyolefin with an emulsion comprising aqueous and organic phases, as well as the use of said process and/or emulsion for the at least partial removal of volatile organic compounds.
Tamper resistant dosage forms
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical dosage forms, for example to a tamper resistant dosage form including an opioid analgesic, and processes of manufacture, uses, and methods of treatment thereof.
VAPOR SPIN CLEANING OF ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED PARTS
A method of cleaning residual resin from an additively manufactured object, includes: (a) enclosing an additively manufactured object in an inner chamber of a centrifugal separator, the additively manufactured object including a light polymerized resin with a surface coating of viscous, unpolymerized, residual resin; (b) flooding the chamber with a volatile organic solvent vapor without contacting liquid organic solvent to the object, the vapor present in an amount sufficient to reduce the viscosity of the residual resin; and (c) spinning the additively manufactured object in the chamber to centrifugally separate at least a first portion of the residual resin from the object.
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR SEALING OF GAPS IN PARTS MANUFACTURED VIA 3D PRINTING TECHNIQUES
A method for sealing gaps in a component including generating vapor from a liquid; directing the vapor to an exposed surface of the component, wherein the component includes a plurality of layers of an extrudate and gaps between the plurality of layers and wherein the extrudate includes an outer portion; softening the outer portion of the extrudate at the exposed surface; and filling the gaps with softened outer portion of the extrudate. An apparatus includes a heating chamber including at least one first heating element; a vapor chamber coupled to the heating chamber; a pressure regulator operatively coupled to the vapor chamber; and a nozzle coupled to the vapor chamber by a duct.
Tamper resistant dosage forms
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical dosage forms, for example to a tamper resistant dosage form including an opioid analgesic, and processes of manufacture, uses, and methods of treatment thereof.
