The plurality of gas venting/introducing paths 4 are open to the outside of the body (2) at other ends thereof such that at least two gas venting/introducing paths (4) merge into a single path (5). The body (2) is made of a porous metal denser than the material of the porous portion (3). The gas venting/introducing paths (4) each has an inner wall (4a) defined by a smooth surface. The distance between a communication side (3a) of the porous portion (3) and an opposite side (3b) is on the order of 4 mm. A concavity is formed at the communication part between the gas venting/introducing paths (4) and the porous portion (3).

Photochemically cured millable polyurethane rubber

Photocurable millable polyurethane gum compositions contain a millable polyurethane gum having ethylenic unsaturation, photocatalyst, and a low molecular weight crosslinker containing minimally two ethylenically unsaturated groups. The compositions can be used to continuously extrude profiles which retain their shape.

The aerosol evacuation system also includes a conduit connected to the intake and arranged to define a passageway for airflow, a pump arranged to draw the airflow and particles emitted from the nozzle into the conduit through the intake, and a filtration system connected to the conduit and arranged to filter the airflow to remove ultrafine particles from the airflow.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A 3D POLYMER STRUCTURE
20240269929 · 2024-08-15 · ·

A device and method for processing a 3D polymer structure with a paramagnetic substance distributed homogeneously in the material of the 3D polymer structure is disclosed. A magnetic field generator generates a static magnetic field in a working zone of the device. Gradient coils for generating magnetic gradient fields in at least all three spatial directions x, y, z, where the paramagnetic substance can be spatially encoded in a defined voxel V of the 3D polymer structure. An RF field generator irradiates RF radiation into the working zone. A control unit controls the RF field generator in such a way that the spatially encoded paramagnetic substance in the voxel V can be excited by a field frequency of the RF radiation which is tuned to the paramagnetic substance, in order to destroy or decompose the 3D polymer structure solely in the defined voxel V.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING AN ORTHODONTIC ALIGNER

A method of forming an orthodontic aligner from an aligner digital model, the method comprising the steps of: (a) three-dimensionally printing an intermediate structure comprising fused filaments from a biocompatible thermoplastic according to the aligner digital model via fused deposition modelling; (b) coating the intermediate structure with a biocompatible translucent photopolymer; and (c) irradiating the coating with ultraviolet light to cure the coating on the intermediate structure, thereby forming the orthodontic aligner.

Methods for preparing customized polymeric articles

The present invention provides a method for preparing a customized polymeric article including: providing two mold half-sections, each half-section having an outer surface and an inner surface; assembling the two mold half-sections to form a mold assembly such that the inner surfaces define a cavity there between; applying one or more magnetic fluids to the inner surface of a mold half-section; inserting a fluid polymeric material into the cavity; controllably applying a magnetic field to the magnetic fluids to form a customized reversible surface in accordance with a predetermined specific surface topography; subjecting the mold assembly to conditions sufficient to effect polymerization or hardening of the fluid polymeric material; and separating the two mold half-sections. Articles prepared by the method also are provided.

Method of making a corrugated deflection diaphragm

A removable material is deposited or otherwise applied to a flat substrate surface in a pattern corresponding to desired corrugations in a membrane, e.g., a deflection diaphragm. The applied material serves as a scaffold for a polymeric material, which is applied thereover, and following cure or hardening, the polymeric material is removed to form a finished corrugated membrane.
