A floor may include a substrate having a top side and a bottom side. A top layer may be provided on the substrate. The top layer may consist of a printed thermoplastic film and a thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer provided on the printed thermoplastic film. The top layer may be directly adhered to the substrate by heat welding the printed thermoplastic film and the top side of the substrate, in the absence of a glue layer. The substrate may be a synthetic material board including a filler. The substrate at least at two opposite edges may include coupling means provided in the synthetic material board. The thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer may be provided with a structure.

Assembly to manufacture a roll of prepreg material
An assembly to manufacture a roll of prepreg material. The assembly includes a moving system for picking a sheet of prepreg material from a stack of sheets and moving the sheet along a feed path. An alignment system aligns a leading edge of the sheets with a trailing edge of a roll of the prepreg material. A welding system connects the sheet to the roll.
System and method for fabricating a composite ply layup
A method is provided for fabricating a composite ply layup with a desired shape. The method includes moving a shuttle having a sheet of elastic material into engagement with at least one composite ply at a ply pickup station, and picking up the at least one composite ply with the shuttle. The method also includes transporting the shuttle and the at least one composite ply from the ply pickup station to a forming station, and moving the shuttle and the at least one composite ply into engagement with a forming tool at the forming station or any previously laid plies on the forming tool. The method further includes compacting the at least one composite ply on the forming tool or any previously laid plies on the forming tool with the shuttle to form the composite ply layup with the desired shape.
Method of manufacturing a panel of a wind turbine nacelle
Provided is a method of manufacturing a panel of a wind turbine nacelle, which method includes the steps of providing a mold for the panel; arranging at least one divider in the mold to spatially divide the mold into at least a first mold region and a second mold region; arranging composite material in the mold; curing the composite material; and separating the cured panel into at least a first panel portion and a second panel portion along a line defined by a divider. Also provided is a method of constructing a wind turbine nacelle, and a wind turbine including such a nacelle.
IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICE WITH VARIED COMPOSITION AND POROSITY, AND METHOD FOR FORMING SAME
A method for forming a thermoplastic body having regions with varied material composition and/or porosity. Powder blends comprising a thermoplastic polymer, a sacrificial porogen and an inorganic reinforcement or filler are molded to form complementary parts with closely toleranced mating surfaces. The parts are formed discretely, assembled and compression molded to provide a unitary article that is free from discernible boundaries between the assembled parts. Each part in the assembly has differences in composition and/or porosity, and the assembly has accurate physical features throughout the sections of the formed article, without distortion and nonuniformities caused by variable compaction and densification rates in methods that involve compression molding powder blends in a single step.
SELF-SEALING JOINT SEALING SYSTEM
An integrated self-sealing joint sealing system that is incorporated into the factory edges of a sheathing panel prior to installation at a job site, eliminating the need to secondarily apply tapes or similar fluid-applied sealants, as the joints will become sealed when mated and installed next to adjacent sheathing panels. The system works with a variety of joint types, including, but not limited to, bead-and-cove joints, cove-and-cove, and cove-and-butt joints, with matching corresponding joint profiles along panel edges. A compressible sealant, adhesive or gasket material is applied to surfaces in one or both profiles at the factory during the manufacturing process. During field installation, the matching corresponding joint profiles are placed together so the sealant material is compressed, forming a complete watertight and airtight joint.
MOLDED LAMINATED STRUCTURE WITH NEGATIVE DRAFT ANGLES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
Disclosed herein is a molded laminated structure having negative draft angles and methods of manufacturing a molded laminated structure having negative draft angles. A preliminary structure having a first outer layer and a second outer layer is molded with a bend that divides the preliminary structure into two sections with an angle between the two sections of less than 180-degrees. Portions that extends from the sections are at positive draft angles. A groove is formed in the preliminary structure at the bend but not formed in a constant cross-section of the second outer layer. The preliminary structure is folding along the bend to at least partially close the groove and form a molded laminated structure with portions that extend at a negative draft configuration while retaining the second outer layer continuous throughout the molded laminated structure.
METHOD AND TOOL FOR MANUFACTURING A PLASTIC CONTAINER, IN PARTICULAR A FUEL CONTAINER, BY MEANS OF INTERNAL PRESSURE FORMING
A method for manufacturing a plastic container by internal pressure forming including positioning a tubular preform between the die parts of a molding die having a die cavity; closing the molding die and forming or preforming a container from the preform using internal pressure, wherein a peripheral portion of the preform is pressed out of the die cavity through a die gap; laterally withdrawing the peripheral portion pressed out of the die cavity, as a result of which the container is divided into two container halves; and thermally separating plastic bridges and/or plastic threads which arise during the lateral withdrawal of the peripheral portion. Also disclosed is a molding die suitable for carrying out the method.
