Methods for manufacturing slide fastener with overmolded components
Zippers components such as a traditional pin and box assembly may be affixed to zipper stringer tapes by a simple injection molding process. When a non-traditional magnetic alignment assembly is used in place of a traditional pin and box assembly, other means are needed to adequately affix the components of the magnetic alignment assembly to the zipper stringer tapes in order to provide a durable finished zipper.
Fastener element and method for producing same
Elements are made of a polyacetal resin, which can effectively improve the chain crosswise strength while maintaining wear resistance. Provided is a fastener element made of a polyacetal resin composition containing 5 to 30% by mass of reinforcing fibers each having an average fiber diameter of 5 to 15 m and a numeric average fiber length of 150 to 500 m.
Injection molded element for slide fastener and slide fastener provided with same
Provided is an injection molded element for a slide fastener which retains a high degree of practical strength, which does not cause undulation of a fastener tape after attachment thereto, and which has superior moldability. The present invention is an injection molded element for a slide fastener having as a material a polyamide resin composition containing a polyamide resin having a glass transition temperature from 40 to 70 C., the composition having a melt flow rate from 5 to 40 g/10 min, and containing from 40 to 60 parts by mass of the reinforcing fibers per 100 parts by mass in total of the polyamide resin and reinforcing fibers.

Fastener tape woven from yarns including plant-derived resin, fastener stringer and method of producing the same
A fastener tape includes a first side-edge portion including a core cord and a plurality of first ground warp yarns; and a tape main portion adjacently positioned to the first side-edge portion and including a plurality of second ground warp yarns. A weft yarn and every ground warp yarn of the fastener tape are yarns including plant-derived resin. The first ground warp yarn is FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) and the second ground warp yarn is DTY (Drawn Textured Yarn) and in accordance with this difference in yarn type, a thermal shrinkage ratio of the first ground warp yarn is greater than a thermal shrinkage ratio of the second ground warp yarn.
Waterproof Zipper and Process of Manufacturing Same
A waterproof zipper is provided with two halves, each including a half tape member and a row of protruding teeth along an inner edge of the half tape member; and a waterproof layer is secured to an inner surface of the halves. The waterproof layer coated on the inner surfaces of the halves may prevent the liquid from penetrating into the interior of the waterproof zipper, and simplify the structure of the waterproof zipper. A process of manufacturing the waterproof zipper is also provided.
Method for Manufacturing a Watertight Zipper
A method for manufacturing a watertight zipper is provided to solve the problem of low watertight effect of the modern watertight zipper. The method includes producing a waterproof stringer tape and forming a waterproof layer by injection molding. The waterproof layer covers a lateral edge of the waterproof stringer tape and includes a plurality of recesses. The method for manufacturing the watertight zipper further includes forming an aperture in each of the plurality of recesses. The aperture extends through the waterproof layer and the waterproof stringer tape. The method for manufacturing the watertight zipper further includes forming a plurality of scoops in the plurality of recesses by injection molding.
