SHRINK FILMS INCORPORATING POST-CONSUMER RESIN AND METHODS THEREOF
A shrink film may include at least one layer comprising a blended ethylene-based polymer composition, the blended ethylene-based having a PCR content varying from greater than 5 to less than 95 wt % and a virgin resin content varying from greater than 5 to less than 95 wt %, wherein the virgin resin is selected from HOPE, LLDPE, LDPE, or combinations thereof.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FILM COMPRISING CAVITIES WITH DETERMINATION OF STRETCH, DENSITY, THICKNESS AND/OR POROSITY PROFILES OF THE FILM
A method of manufacturing a film (F1) including cavities and formed from a polymer in which a cavitating agent is dispersed, said method including a step of extruding the polymer through an extrusion die equipped with adjustment actuators for adjusting thickness of the extruded film, and a step of stretching (Str1) the film, as well as establishing a mapping function of the film on the basis of mass-per-unit-area profiles of the film before and after the stretching step, establishing a stretch profile of the film as stretched on the basis of said mapping function and of said transverse mass-per-unit-area profiles, and establishing a characteristic transverse profile that is characteristic of the film on the basis of said stretch profile and of a transverse profile of the concentration by mass of cavitating agent in the film as stretched that makes it possible to take into account the distribution of the cavities in the film; in which method said adjustment actuators are controlled as a function of said characteristic transverse profile.
THIN RESIN SHEET MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A sheet member includes a pair of main surfaces opposing each other. A maximum thickness that is a maximum interval between the pair of main surfaces is 40 μm or more and 450 μm or less. The sheet member has a region in which a plurality of coherent pattern lines appear when viewed from a direction facing the pair of main surfaces, the plurality of coherent pattern lines being arranged at intervals in a direction in which one edge portion and another edge portion opposing the one edge portion oppose each other, and a pair in the plurality of coherent pattern lines adjacent to each other do not intersect.

Method and systems for applying stretch films/plastic films at a controlled temperature
A system for controlling the temperature of a film before and/or during application, the system including: a heat source for heating a film; and stretch rollers; wherein the heat source heats the film from an ambient temperature to a temperature from about 2° C. to about 40° C. above the ambient temperature, wherein the film is heated prior to or simultaneous to being stretched by the stretch rollers, and wherein the ambient temperature is below 15° C. The preheating system may be used to enhance binding and sealing properties of stretch films used for wrapping palletized products in a reduced temperature environment. Other embodiments of the preheating film system, and methods for its use, are described herein.

Thermoplastic films and bags with complex stretch patterns and methods of making the same
A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.
