Provided is an optical laminate produced by disposing an anti-glare layer on at least one side of a light-transmitting substrate, the anti-glare layer having a surface that has the arithmetic mean peak curvature Spc of 1.5 mm.sup.−1 or less in absolute value, the optical laminate has the adjusted transmission image clarity of 85% or less. On the anti-glare layer, further disposed is a low refractive index layer. The optical laminate including the low refractive index layer may have a luminous reflectance of 1.4 or less. The optical laminate improves the anti-glare properties.

Method for Producing Light-Guide Optical Elements

A method for producing light-guide optical elements (LOEs) (16, 18, 56, 58) each having a set of mutually-parallel partially-reflecting surfaces (17) located between, and oriented non-parallel to, a pair of major external surfaces, and at least one region (30a, 30b, 30c) without partially-reflecting surfaces. The method includes bonding together parallel-faced plates (4) at interfaces to form a stack (42) of plates with partially-reflecting coatings between them. The stack is cut and polished to form a boundary plane (48, 48a, 48b) intersecting the interfaces, and a block (50, 50a, 50b) of transparent material is bonded to the stack. The resulting precursor structure (52, 52′) is sliced along parallel planes to form slices, each containing a part of the stack for the active region of the LOE and a part of the block.

Tuneable ophthalmic lens

A tuneable contact lens (100), wherein the contact lens comprises a central region (108). The central region has a circumferential wall and an anterior surface having an external curvature. The contact lens also comprises an inflatable ring (106) arranged around the circumferential wall of the central region, and at least one fluid reservoir (104) in fluid connection with the inflatable ring. The at least one fluid reservoir comprises a pump. When fluid is pumped from the at least one fluid reservoir to the inflatable ring, the inflatable ring inflates and the external curvature of anterior portion of the central region is changed.

To produce first and second light control panels 11, a molded preform 22 made from a transparent resin, which includes triangle-cross-section grooves 15 (each having an inclined surface 14 and a vertical surface 23) and triangle-cross-section protruded strips 16 (formed by the grooves 15 next to each other) respectively arranged in parallel on a front side of a transparent plate material 12, is produced by press-molding, injection-molding, or roll-molding, and mirror surfaces 13 are selectively formed only on the vertical surfaces 23 of the grooves 15. The first and second light control panels 11 each having a group of band-like light-reflective surfaces standing upright and spaced in parallel are overlapped such that the groups of band-like light-reflective surfaces are crossed in a plan view. Thereby providing a stereoscopic-image-forming device and its producing method enabling to easily produce the first and second light control panels 11 and obtain clearer stereoscopic images.

METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AN OPHTHALMIC LENS

Methods of manufacturing an ophthalmic lens are described. The methods include a step of providing an ophthalmic lens; and a step of providing a photocurable film.
