The food processor comprises a tool for mixing or chopping the food in the food preparation vessel. A control unit can access a recipe and be caused by a recipe step of the recipe (26) to operate the tool and/or the heating element in a manner defined by the recipe step. The control unit is configured such that a desired time is defined during the food preparation process or for a completion of at least two recipe steps. In this way, it is possible to monitor a food preparation process during the performance with regard to completion times. Depending on the monitoring, measures can be taken to optimize a preparation of one or more foods in terms of time.

Cooking device and components thereof

Disclosed herein is a cooking system for cooking food, the system including a housing defining a hollow chamber configured to receive a food container. The housing has an upper portion defining an opening to the hollow chamber. A lid is attachable about the upper portion of the housing and is configured to extend across the opening to the hollow chamber. At least one heating element is associated with at least one of said housing and said lid. The cooking system is operable in a plurality of modes including a pressure cooking mode and a convective cooking mode. In the pressure cooking mode, the cooking system is operable as a pressure cooker and in the convective cooking mode, the cooking system is operable as a convection cooker.

FOOD PREPARATION APPARATUS WITH PROTECTION DEVICE AGAINST OVERHEATING

The present disclosure relates to a food preparation apparatus with a thermistor as a heating device for heating a food by the food preparation apparatus, with a temperature sensor for measuring a real temperature generated by the heating and a protection device which is configured such that it switches off the heating device or at least reduces the heating power of the heating device when a temperature is determined by the temperature sensor, which is above a first predetermined temperature, characterized in that the food preparation apparatus is configured such that a temperature is also determined by means of the thermistor and the protection device is configured such that it also switches off the heating device depending on the determined temperature or at least reduces the heating power of the heating device depending on the determined temperature, which is determined by means of the thermistor.

With little technical effort, it can thus be reliably avoided that the food preparation apparatus can become excessively hot.

Disclosed herein is a cooking system for cooking food, the system including a housing having a hollow interior, a lid movable relative to the housing, at least one heating element associated with one of the housing and the lid, wherein the cooking system is operable in a plurality of modes including a conductive cooking mode and a convective cooking mode, wherein in the conductive cooking mode the cooking system is operable as a conductive cooker and in the convective cooking mode the cooking system is operable as a convection cooker.

The outer surface of the light guide includes a formed surface that directs light upward and through the cooktop, wherein the light guide is visible through the cooktop when the light module is in the illuminated state.
