Injection-molded flexible tube based on high-density polyethylene
The present invention relates to a tube having a dispensing head and a flexible skirt. The skirt and the dispensing head include a single wall manufactured in a single injection-molding operation in an injection mold. According to the invention, the wall is made of a material whose base constituent is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or a mixture of polymers, at least one of which is a high-density polyethylene representing from 5% to 100% by weight of the polymers constituting the wall. The present invention also relates to a process for manufacturing such a tube.

BARRIER TUBE SHOULDERS
Provided is a method for making barrier tube shoulders. The method includes forming a parison from a multi-layer laminated structure having an inner layer that faces an interior of the parison, an outer layer comprising an exterior surface of the parison, and an interdisposed layer between the inner layer and the outer layer, wherein the interdisposed layer is a flavor barrier layer. The method also includes providing an extrusion blow molding (EBM) mold comprising at least one cavity shaped as a barrier tube shoulder, positioning the parison in the EBM mold, and blow molding the parison such that the parison substantially conforms to the EBM mold to form a barrier tube shoulder having the barrier layer.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXPANDING TUBE BLANKS
SUMMARY
The invention relates to a method and a device for expanding at least a section of an initial tube blank (2) made of plastic or metal in such a way that an expanded tube blank (1) is obtained which tapers in the direction of an end of the tube blank that is not affected by the expansion process. The initial tube blank is fixed in a holding device (4) in a first position (6a), a first mandrel (3) is inserted into the initial tube blank, pressed therein and held in the pressed-in position for a predetermined heating time period, so that at least a part of the tube blank is expanded, and finally the first mandrel is pulled out of the expanded tube blank (1), wherein, when the first mandrel is pulled out of the tube blank, either compressed air is blown into the interior of the expanded tube blank through the first mandrel provided with at least one corresponding first air channel (5), or the expanded tube blank is mechanically stripped off.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FORMING A TUBE HEAD BLANK OF A TUBE BLANK
The invention relates to a device (1) for forming a tube head blank (2a) of a tube blank (2) so that a tube blank with a finished tube head (2c) is obtained. It comprises a lower tool (3) with a lower tool body (3a) and a free end (3b) which has an outer shape corresponding to an inner shape of the finished tube head, over which lower tool the tube blank can be pulled so that the tube head blank to be formed comes to lie around the free end. It further comprises an upper tool (4) which can be lowered onto the lower tool with the tube blank pulled-over. The upper tool has an upper head end piece (5) with forming jaws (5a), which together form a first recess (6) that defines an outer shape of the finished tube head. The upper head end piece comprises an actuating device (5c, 7) for opening and closing the forming jaws. The device further comprises a temperature control system for heating the upper tool to a temperature as intended. The tube head blank comes to rest in the first recess and can be formed into the finished tube head between the closed forming jaws and the free end of the lower mold.
