The invention relates to a detection device for detecting a property of a medium, comprising at least one detection sensor, wherein the detection sensor is arranged in a housing, the housing comprising a housing cover. The housing cover is a one-piece molded part, and a compensation element is arranged on or in the housing cover which forms at least one inlet channel with an inlet port for the medium. The inlet channel has a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion and the second portion are arranged at an angle different from zero to each other and a closure means closes the first portion of the inlet channel.
MOLD AND FOLD VEHICLE DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
A display assembly for displaying vehicle operating information to an operator of a vehicle is provided. The display assembly includes at least two housing parts selected from the following: a mask, a light housing, and a back cover. The display assembly also includes at least one living hinge connecting the housing parts together. The housing parts and the living hinge(s) are unitarily formed as one piece. A method of forming a display assembly for displaying information to an operator of a vehicle is also provided, which includes unitarily forming the housing parts and hinges as one piece.

A method for manufacturing a housing of an electronic apparatus includes forming a planar portion of the housing as a carbon fiber plate from carbon fiber material via a hot pressing process; during the hot pressing process, attaching a thermosensitive adhesive film onto a male mould surface of the carbon fiber plate corresponding to a junction between a fastening portion of the housing and the planar portion; forming the fastening portion of the housing from thermosetting resin via embedded injection molding process; and during the embedded injection molding process, curing the thermosensitive adhesive film onto the surface of the carbon fiber plate by curing the thermosetting resin so as to join the fastening portion and the planar portion of the housing together. A housing of the electronic apparatus made by the manufacturing method is also described.
BATTERY ASSEMBLY, BATTERY CONTAINMENT APPARATUS, AND RELATED METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A battery assembly is provided. The assembly includes a battery containment apparatus including a chassis base and divider sheets coupled to the chassis base, wherein the divider sheets are spaced from each other such that a battery cell slot is defined between adjacent sheets. The apparatus further includes a compression plate assembly including first compression and second compression plates coupled to a divider sheet at opposing ends of the apparatus, and a tensioning member coupled between the first and second compression plates. A battery cell is positioned within each battery cell slot defining a plurality of battery cells, and the first and second compression plates compressively hold the battery cells between the divider sheets. At least one of the chassis base and the compression plate assembly are formed from a thermoplastic material.

A display device includes a display, a receiving member, and a buffer member. The receiving member includes a peripheral wall. The buffer member is attached to the receiving member. The display is received in an interior of the peripheral wall of the receiving member and the buffer member is positioned at an exterior of the peripheral wall of the receiving member.
Electronic device with injection molded display trim
An electronic device may be provided with a display. The electronic device may include a housing. A display trim may be formed from injection molded plastic that is molded directly onto the housing. The molded plastic trim may form a rectangular ring around the periphery of the housing. The housing may have angled or curved interior surfaces that are covered by the molded plastic trim. Computer-controlled positioners may be used to center the housing within an injection molding tool. Independently controlled positioners may also be used in capturing the housing between the lower die and the upper die in the injection molding tool. The injection molding tool may inject thermoplastic elastomer material into a channel in the upper die to form the plastic display trim.

A method for producing an injection-molded article, according to various embodiments, comprises: molding an injection-molded article; irradiating, in a primary irradiation operation, a laser on primary irradiation regions spaced from each other, on at least a portion of the surface of the injection-molded article; irradiating, in a secondary irradiation operation, a laser on secondary irradiation regions spaced from each other, on at least a portion of the surface of the injection-molded article; and, on the surface of the injection-molded article, forming a plating layer on the primary irradiation regions and the secondary irradiation regions, wherein each of the secondary irradiation regions may at least partially overlap with at least one of the primary irradiation regions.
