TWO-PART SLAP WATCHBAND WITH INTEGRAL PIN RECEIVING CHANNELS AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
The slap watchband includes first and second band parts. Each part has an end adapted to attach to a conventional watch casing using a spring-loaded pin. Each part includes a flexible metal strip encased in plastic and a channel in the plastic located proximate the end adapted to receive a spring-loaded pin. The parts are formed in a multi cavity mold by introducing plastic into the mold cavities to form a plastic layer. A flexible metal strip is placed in each mold cavity over the plastic layer. A rod is inserted into the mold such that it extends across the each mold cavity at a location spaced from the metal strip. Additional plastic is introduced into the mold cavities over the flexible metal strip and rod to form another plastic layer. The mold is closed. Heat and pressure are applied to cure the plastic layers and the rod is removed.
Removable drape fashion system
A fashion system including a shaped garment comprising a base material and a removable drape is provided herein. The removable drape may be attached to the base material such that corresponding shapes of the base material and the removable drape cooperate to hold the removable drape in place. The base material may be formed using a geometric cutting technique and the removable drape may be formed using a thermoforming technique to create a complementary drape system.
REMOLDABLE IMPACT-ATTENUATION ARTICLE
Aspects herein provide for a remoldable article configured to attenuate or reduce the results of an impact. The article comprises a plate that is remoldable in a temperature range of about 41 degrees Celsius to about 43.3 degrees Celsius.
FEATURE MOLDING INTO FABRICS
A fastening mechanism that is integrated with the material of an article of clothing is described. The article of clothing, preferably a sock or glove, is treated with a chemical agent and a press to form a fastening mechanism for holding or coupling of multiple articles of clothing or manufacture. The fastening mechanism of one article of clothing can then be matched to an interlocking fastening mechanism of another article of clothing thereby joining the two articles of clothing together. The chemical agent and subsequent fastening mechanism is generally desired to be non-reactive and is preferably resistant to water and heat. This allows the article of clothing to be worn and washed as normal without a loss of functionality.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SPORTS PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, AND SPORT PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURED BY THE SAME
Disclosed are a method of manufacturing sport protective equipment and sport protective equipment manufactured by the method. A thin casing is manufactured by a thin sheet material in a vacuum forming process; protrusions are formed apart from one another on a surface of the thin casing; a containing space is formed on an inner side of each protrusion for filling a filler; and a substrate is provided to seal the bottom of the thin casing, so that the filler in each of the containing spaces will not fall out, so as to improve the manufacturing efficiency and the product quality. The sport protective equipment manufactured by this method does not require any sewing manufacture or increase thickness, so that the flexibility of wearing and using is improved, and the thin casing and the filler are provided for absorbing shocks to improve the protective effect.
Methods for stimulating cutaneous receptors in glabrous skin of a person
Methods for increasing proprioception of a person including stimulating cutaneous receptors in glabrous skin of a person are provided, wherein the method includes contacting cutaneous receptors in glabrous skin of a person with a somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface having a plurality of protuberances which are projected upwardly from the stimulation surface and which are configured to stimulate cutaneous receptors in the glabrous skin of the person when pressed in contact with the glabrous skin of the person to increase proprioception of the person, wherein the plurality of protuberances are configured to increase stimulation to cutaneous receptors proportionately with pressure applied when the protuberances are pressed in contact with the glabrous skin of the person, wherein the protuberances comprise an acute apex; a medial portion; and a base; and wherein the protuberances are not more than 1 mm apart between bases, have a Shore hardness of approximately 60 A or harder, have a pyramidal shape, and are not more than 5 mm apart between apices, wherein the stimulation surface is not in the form of a mat or a flooring material.
Method for manufacturing absorbent sanitary products
A method for manufacturing absorbent sanitary products, comprising the steps of: forming a first and a second continuous elastic band, which are movable parallel to each other in a machine direction, fixing a plurality of absorbent panels between said first and second continuous elastic bands, arranged in a direction transverse to the machine direction, and spaced apart in said machine direction, wherein each of said elastic bands is formed by means of a method comprising the steps of: continuously feeding a plurality of tensioned elastic threads (30) in said machine direction, continuously feeding a pair of non-elastic webs arranged on opposite sides of said plurality of elastic threads, welding said pair of non-elastic webs to each other by means of a welding pattern comprising anchoring welds and/or containing and guiding welds.
