METHOD FOR COATING GUM OF SELF-ADHESIVE MAT WITH SPACED-APART GUM
20210138780 · 2021-05-13 · ·

The present invention discloses a method for coating gum of self-adhesive mat with spaced-apart gum, using a mat body, gum layers being spaced apart on a bottom surface of the mat body, including the following steps of: weighing raw materials of components in a determined proportion, stirring uniformly by a stirrer that supplies hot air for dehumidification, conveying the mixture to an extruder through a screw, thermally melting by the screw extruder, extruding from rectangular discharge ports formed at intervals on the extruder and vertically falling onto an upper roller (the roller surface is a smooth surface) of a rolling and combining device, passing a mat body from an unwinding device to a lower roller of the rolling and combining device, rolling the mat body by adjusting a gap between the upper and lower rollers by a lead screw, forming self-adhesive gum layers, which are spaced apart from each other, on the back of the mat body. The gum using hydrogenated styrene-butadiene block copolymer (SEBS) as a main raw material coating on the bottom surface. According to the present invention, the gum is able to adequately adsorb the mat onto the floor due to its good flexibility, and allow the mat to move without affecting the adsorption effect due to its good detachability. Meanwhile, the mat is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, can be washed repeatedly without affecting its self-adhesive adsorption effect and can be reused. It is of great significance for the development of mats.

METHOD OF MAKING A SADDLE AND RELATED SADDLE

A method of making a saddle having a shell and a padding involves arranging the shell in thermoplastic polymer inside a mould for injection moulding having a die and a punch, the shell having a support surface, which in use faces the padding, and a supporting surface coupled to an inner wall of the punch or of the die, the support surface forming a wall of the moulding cavity; closing the mould; and making the padding by injection moulding a thermoplastic polymer over the shell, between the support surface and the mould.

Washable thermoplastic elastomer foam and articles incorporating same

A thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) foam having a soft open-cell inner layer and a washable closed-cell outer layer which surrounds and substantially seals the inner layer, and which may be used alone or in combination with other components to produce useful articles. The TPE foam includes a base resin which is a styrenic block copolymer, and a foaming agent. A process of forming and molding the TPE foam includes using a shutoff nozzle to prevent the foaming agent from activating before reaching the mold cavity, using an oversized gate to minimize shear heat, and using oversized vents. An earplug may be constructed by molding the TPE foam over a core or body formed from a material which is denser than the TPE foam. A first earplug design may employ a constrained layer damping effect, while a second earplug design may employ an adjustable sound attenuation effect.

Flexible sensors incorporating piezoresistive composite materials and fabrication methods

A flexible sensor includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a piezoresistive element incorporating piezoresistive composite material arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. Piezoresistive composite materials include a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and a conductive filler material (e.g., carbon), may have an elastic modulus value of preferably less than about 110.sup.3 GPa, and exhibit a change in electrical resistance responsive to a change in pressure applied thereto. Exemplary flexible sensors may have a thickness and a feel similar to human skin, may be amenable to simple fabrication techniques (e.g., fused filament fabrication (FFF) three-dimensional (3D) printing or molding), and can be manufactured into user-specific geometries.

Molding process for rubber

A one-piece rubber boot shell is created by a process comprising the steps of disposing rubber pieces within a cavity of a molding machine, the molding machine having an upper mold, a lower mold, and a last suspended between the upper mold and the lower mold. The process includes closing the molding machine by moving at least one of the upper mold, the lower mold, and the last toward each other so that they are adjacent each other, heating the rubber pieces to flow within the cavity and around the last to form a one-piece rubber boot shell, and opening the molding machine by moving at least one of the upper mold, the lower mold, and the last away from each other so that they are spaced apart from each. The one-piece rubber boot shell is then removed from the last.

Methods and polymer compositions for material extrusion 3D printing

Methods and compositions directed to blends of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) with styrene ethylene butadiene styrene (SEBS) are disclosed. In certain aspects, the blends further include an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). In a further aspect, the blends are compatible with 3D printing platforms.
