Seal for a vacuum material lifter
A seal for a vacuum lifter and method of manufacture wherein the seal has a continuous unbroken outer fluid resistant skin of elastomer which forms a boundary around a homogeneous cellular structure with no interior seams or joints.
POLYPROPYLENE COMPOSITION
New polypropylene composition which combines low sealing initiation temperature (SIT), high hot-tack, good optical properties, like low haze and its use, and improved stiffness/impact balance.
LOW PERMEATION TYPE C AIR CONDITIONING HOSE
An improved Type C air conditioning hose is provided that meets or exceeds SAE J2064 and J3062 requirements, offers good flexibility and fracture resistance, and exhibits improved permeation ratings for refrigerants including R134a and R1234yf. The multilayer type C barrier air conditioning hose includes a novel inner elastomeric tube layer capable of direct bonding to plastic without an intervening adhesive.
Laminated article
A laminated article includes a thermoplastic resin expanded beads molded layer A having a volume Va and a tensile modulus TMa which is 2 to 100 MPa, and a thermoplastic elastomer expanded beads molded layer B having a volume Vb and a tensile modulus TMb which is 0.05 MPa or more and less than 2 MPa, the layers A and B being laminated and bonded to each other. Va:Vb is 90:10 to 50:50 and TMb/TMa is 0.025 or less.
Thermoplastic dental appliance system and method
Methods and systems herein relate to forming an upper dental appliance chassis including at least two upper appliance button protrusions; forming a lower dental appliance chassis including at least two lower appliance button protrusions and at least two vertical displacement bite pads; injection overmolding a first thermoplastic on the upper dental appliance chassis to provide a first reformable thermoplastic layer integrated with the upper dental appliance chassis that exposes the at least two upper appliance button protrusions to form an upper dental tray; and injection overmolding a second thermoplastic on the upper dental appliance chassis to provide a second reformable thermoplastic layer integrated with the lower dental appliance chassis that exposes the at least two lower appliance button protrusions and the at least two vertical displacement bite pads to form a bottom dental tray.
Fluoropolymer stamp fabrication method
An imprint lithography stamp includes a stamp body having a patterned surface and formed from a fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer. The imprint lithography stamp further includes a backing plate with a plurality of through-holes with portions of the stamp body extending into the through-holes to adhere the stamp body to the backing plate. The patterned surface of the stamp body has a plurality of protrusions extending from the stamp body, which are used to form high aspect ratio features at high processing temperatures. A mold design for forming the imprint lithography stamp and an injection molding process for forming the imprint lithography stamp are also provided.
NON CONDUCTIVE RUBBER HOSE
A non-conductive rubber hose is provided exhibiting lower conductivity compared to conventional EPDM hose, and reduced stiffness compared to conventional non-conductive thermoplastic hose. The hose is useful for applications such as in hydraulics for boom trucks, and for coolant in plasma cutting tools.
PROCESS FOR JOINING OVERLAPPING THERMOPLASTIC MEMBRANE COMPONENTS
A method of joining overlapping thermoplastic roofing membrane components in which a first thermoplastic roofing membrane component and a second roofing membrane component are positioned in overlapping relationship between a pair of complementary molding surfaces. Heat is generated in a metal substrate and transferred by thermal conduction from the metal substrate to overlapping portions of the first and second thermoplastic roofing membrane components to locally melt and coalesce a portion or more of the thermoplastic material of the first thermoplastic roofing membrane component and a portion or more of the thermoplastic material of the second thermoplastic roofing membrane component. The molten thermoplastic material of the first and second thermoplastic roofing membrane components forms a zone of coalesced thermoplastic material that, upon cooling, forms a solid weld joint.

PROCESS FOR JOINING OVERLAPPING THERMOPLASTIC MEMBRANE COMPONENTS
A method of joining overlapping thermoplastic geomembrane components in which a first thermoplastic geomembrane component and a second thermoplastic geomembrane component are positioned in overlapping relationship between a pair of complementary molding surfaces, with one or more of the complementary molding surfaces being defined by an electrically conductive metal susceptor. Heat is generated in the metal susceptor and transferred by thermal conduction from the metal susceptor to overlapping portions of the first and second thermoplastic geomembrane components to locally melt and coalesce a portion or more of the thermoplastic material of the first thermoplastic geomembrane component and a portion or more of the thermoplastic material of the second thermoplastic geomembrane component.
