COEXTRUDED, CROSSLINKED MULTILAYER POLYOLEFIN FOAM STRUCTURES FROM RECYCLED POLYOLEFIN FOAM MATERIAL AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

A physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one polypropylene/polyethylene coextruded foam layer is obtained. The multilayer foam structure is obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.

[Problem] Polyphenylenesulfide (PPS), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), stainless steel (SUS) and the like correspond to hard-to-bond materials, and thus it has been difficult to improve the adhesion to these materials in adhesives and sealants. [Solution] Provided is a curable resin composition containing: component (A), being a thermosetting resin composition; and component (B), being an adhesion-imparting agent consisting of a compound represented by the following general formula 1, or, containing the compound represented by the following general formula 1 and a compound represented by the following general formula 2: ##STR00001## wherein in the general formula 1, n represents 0 to 2, R each independently represents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon numbers or a derivative of the alkyl group, R represents methyl group, ethyl group or propyl group, and in the general formula 2, m represents 1 to 3, and R.sup.1 represents hydrogen atom or methyl group.

Lid sealing process

A package includes a container and a lid adapted to mate with a brim of the container. The lid closes a top opening in the container when mounted on the container. In a lid-coupling process, a product is discharged from an interior product-storage region formed in the container. The elastic top wall of the lid is moved along the container brim to establish a radially outwardly moving brim-wiping motion to cause substantially all of any spilled product located on the annular brim to be displaced and wiped off the container brim so that little, if any, spilled product remains on the container brim.

A plastic article is recited having a plastic shell including walls defining a cavity. Within the cavity is an in-situ foam core including expanded polymer beads. A layer of the expanded polymer beads includes a layer of distorted beads adjacent to the walls. The in-situ foam core has a thermal bond to the walls.

CYCLIC OLEFIN RESIN COMPOSITION FILM

A cyclic olefin resin composition film having excellent anti-blocking properties and toughness. The cyclic olefin resin composition film containing a cyclic olefin resin and a styrene-based elastomer; the cyclic olefin resin composition film having a first surface layer part having a thickness of from 25 to 45% of total thickness, a second surface layer part having a thickness of from 25 to 45% of the total thickness, and an internal part having thickness of from 10 to 50% of the total thickness between the first surface layer part and the second surface layer part; an average value of minor-axis dispersion diameter of the styrene-based elastomer in the first surface layer part or the second surface layer part being from 75 to 125% of an average value of minor-axis dispersion diameter of the styrene-based elastomer of the internal part.
