POLYMER VIALS WITH SUBSTANTIALLY FLAT BOTTOMS AND INJECTION STRETCH BLOW MOLDING METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
Disclosed are polymer vials (110, 210) and injection stretch blow molding methods for making the same. A polymer vial has a base (112) having a base surface area and a sidewall (114) extending up from the base. The base and sidewall define an interior (116) configured to house product, the sidewall narrowing at an upper section of the vial to form a neck leading to an opening that provides access to the interior. The vial is optionally round and symmetrical about a central axis, a lower portion of the sidewall including a first surface that is outwardly curved along a first radius having an imaginary center positioned within the vial. The base is positioned below the first surface and is substantially flat such that at least 80% of the base surface area has a standing base surface occupying a single plane.
METAL-RESIN COMPOSITE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
There is provided a method for producing a metal-resin composite which includes a resin member and a metal member having a roughened surface in at least a portion of the surface thereof, the resin member being joined so as to be in contact with at least a portion of the roughened surface. The method includes a step of joining the resin member and the metal member by melting the resin member with the frictional heat generated in the surface of the metal member on its side opposite to the resin member in a state where the metal member and the resin member are superposed. The method includes making adjustment so that when the roughened surface is measured at arbitrary five points by using a confocal microscope according to ISO 25178, the developed area ratio (Sdr) is 5 or more in terms of number-average value.

Process for fabricating one or more ultra-large area nanoscale polymer films
The process to fabricate a polymer film includes baking a cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) and a silicon wafer at a predefined temperature. The process also includes attaching a plastic tape frame to the silicon wafer and submerging the COC and the plastic tape frame within water allowing one or more ultra-thin sheets of COC film to be peeled off.
THERMOFORMABLE MULTILAYER FILMS AND BLISTER PACKS PRODUCED THEREFROM
A multi-layer film structure for use in forming blister packaging. The multi-layer structure includes a first polymeric layer having a first surface and a second surface, the first polymeric layer comprising a metalized polyethylene teraphthalate, a second polymeric layer having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface of the second polymeric layer disposed adjacent the second surface of the first polymeric layer, the second polymeric layer comprising a cyclic olefin or a homopolymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene, and a third polymeric layer having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface of the third polymeric layer disposed adjacent the second surface of the second polymeric layer, the third polymeric layer comprising polypropylene or polyvinyl chloride. A method of making a multi-layer film structure and a packaging structure are also provided.
Method for the production of an elastic laminate and laminated elastic product
A method for the production of an elastic laminate, comprising the following steps in a same production line: to coextrude a first web of elastic film (F) with at least three layers (F1, F2, F1), comprising at least two different polymer materials, to feed contemporaneously said coextruded first elastic film (F) web and two second nonwoven webs (T1, T2) to a thermal, binding calender (14), wherein the first elastic film web is arranged between said two second nonwoven webs when entering the calender; wherein said first elastic film web, during the movement from the coextrusion step to the thermal binding step, passes from a melted state, in the coextrusion step, to a solidified and cold state when entering the calender, to join, through spot welding in said calender, said second nonwoven webs with respective opposite outer layers of said first elastic film web, thus producing an intermediate web (P1), to stretch mechanically said intermediate web according to a direction transverse to the same web.
