TEXTURED ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE
Provided are textured articles, compositions and processes for their manufacturing, specifically molded articles, having textured or patterned, e.g. randomly-textured, surfaces. In particular, the disclosure concerns compositions and processes for manufacturing molded polymer-based articles that visually and texturally mimic or imitate various materials, such as concrete, marble, ceramics, wood, etc.
Resin member and wearable band
A resin member has a longitudinal direction, includes a stretchable portion having an extending portion extending in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction, when the resin member is stretched in the longitudinal direction, an angle at which the extending portion extends changes, and the material of the stretchable portion contains cellulose fibers and a resin.
Hot joint fastener
A method for joining together different components or different sections of a single component, wherein at least one of the components is a thermoplastic fiber composite component, by using a threaded fastener. Heat is used for softening the thermoplastic fiber composite component to be joined together with the threaded fastener. A joined-together fiber composite component of a vehicle, aircraft or spacecraft, can be obtained by the disclosed method.

Color shift pigments for three-dimensional printing
Materials for use in 3D printing comprising a color shift pigment that change colors when viewed at different angles. More specifically, the materials comprise a color shift pigment being a silicon oxide core with metal oxide shell disposed thereon and a polymeric component.
MOLDING COMPOSITION AND ARTICLES FORMED THEREOF
Articles having improved properties are disclosed. The articles are formed from a composition obtained by dry blending: a) 70-95 wt. % of a polyolefin polymer selected from polypropylene homopolymers, polypropylene copolymers, polypropylene impact copolymers, and mixtures thereof; and b) 5 to 30 wt. % of a free-flowing styrenic block copolymer coated with a functional dusting agent having a maximum particle size of 100 microns. The free-flowing styrenic block copolymer requires less than 400 lbs/ft.sup.2 of force to break in a blocking test. The molded article has improved impact strength and haze.
Method of forming a reusable coextruded embossed nonadhesive protective cover
A method of forming a reusable, non-adhesive protective cover is disclosed which includes extruding first and second layers of a thermoplastic film onto a rotatable cast roll. The first layer has an interior surface and an exterior surface. The second layer is extruded onto the interior surface of the first layer to form a co-extruded laminate. The second layer has an exterior surface exhibiting attachment and release capabilities such that a joint tape can be used to join adjacent sheets of the protective cover together. The co-extruded laminate is then advanced between a nip formed by an embossing roll and a rubber roll whereby the exterior surface of the first layer contacts the embossing roll to form a co-extruded embossed laminate. Lastly, the co-extruded embossed laminate is passed around at least a portion of a chill roll to cool the laminate and form the reusable, co-extruded embossed non-adhesive protective cover.
MATERIAL FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING, FILAMENT FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING, ROLL OF THE FILAMENT, AND CARTRIDGE FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTER
Provided is a three-dimensional modeling material used for a fused deposition modeling three-dimensional printer. The three-dimensional modeling material has a multilayer structure and contains, in respective different layers, a thermoplastic resin (A) having a shear storage elastic modulus (G) of 1.0010.sup.7 Pa or less as measured at 100 C. and 1 Hz and a thermoplastic resin (B) having a shear storage elastic modulus (G) of more than 1.0010.sup.7 Pa as measured at 100 C. and 1 Hz.
