APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CIRCULATING WATER USING CORRUGATED PIPE
20220373121 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A method of welding/joining corrugated pipe segments, an apparatus configured to weld/join corrugated pipe segments, and a method of circulating water are disclosed. The method of welding/joining corrugated pipe segments includes holding or securing an end of each of the corrugated pipe segments with a jig, and welding the ends of the corrugated pipe segments together. The jig includes at least two rings, each configured to receive one of the ends of the corrugated pipe segments, and a brace or connector connected to each of the two rings. The apparatus includes the jig, a welding ring configured to receive the ends of the corrugated pipe segments, a resistive heating coil for heating the welding ring, and a control circuit configured to control a temperature of the resistive heating coil and maintain the temperature of the resistive heating coil once a target temperature is reached.

Preform extended finish for processing light weight ecologically beneficial bottles

Disclosed are preforms which incorporate improvements in the region of the neck and upper segment of the body to allow the production of lightweight containers, such as bottles suitable for containing water or other beverages. In accordance with certain embodiments, the improvements include a thinner neck finish area than conventional bottles, where the thinner area is extended into the upper segment of the body portion below the support ring. Reducing the thickness in these areas of the bottle allows for less resin to be used in forming the preform and bottle.

MEMBRANE WITH MAGNETIC PROPERTIES FOR VERIFICATION OF MEMBRANE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY
20230054539 · 2023-02-23 ·

A method of detecting faults and ensuring integrity of membranes having magnetically functionalized particles, including moving a magnetometer over the membrane to measure at least one magnetic property, mapping the location of the measured properties, identifying anomalies among measured properties including the location of such anomalies, and repairing the membrane at the location where anomalies are identified.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SMART CARD, SMART CARD, AND CONDUCTIVE PARTICLE-CONTAINING HOT-MELT ADHESIVE SHEET

A method for manufacturing a smart card capable of achieving excellent connection reliability and bending resistance, a smart card, and a conductive particle-containing hot-melt adhesive sheet. A conductive particle-containing hot-melt adhesive sheet containing solder particles of a non-eutectic alloy in a binder containing a crystalline polyamide having a carboxyl group is interposed between a card member and an IC chip and subjected to thermocompression bonding. The crystalline polyamide having a carboxyl group improves the solder wettability of the non-eutectic alloy, thereby achieving excellent connection reliability. This effect is considered to be a flux effect due to the carboxyl group present in the crystalline polyamide, and as a result, it is possible to prevent the decrease in the elastic modulus of the adhesive layer which would be caused by the addition of a flux compound and to achieve excellent bending resistance.

The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a natural fiber composite material for injection molding using a reduced nozzle heating jig, and particularly, to a manufacturing method of a natural fiber composite material for injection molding using a reduced nozzle heating jig, which is configured to include: combining natural fibers and synthetic fibers (S1); heat-pressing the combined ply yarn while passing through a reduced nozzle heating jig 100 and melting and pressing the synthetic fibers and fusing the synthetic fibers to the natural fibers (S2); and palletizing the mixed ply yarn (S3).

Sealing member for a powder slush molding apparatus
11584047 · 2023-02-21 · ·

A sealing member for a powder slush molding apparatus includes an elastomeric main body comprising a head portion, an anchor portion, and a neck portion extending between and joining the head portion and the anchor portion. The head portion of the sealing member defines at least one interior channel that is centered on a midline of the elastomeric main body and which has a polygonal sectional shape. The polygonal sectional shape of the at least one interior channel, and its location on the midline, permits the head portion of the sealing member to attain a measure of compressibility that helps limit the force needed to compress the head portion without rendering the sealing member too flexible that it cannot adequately retain its shape. The sealing member is useful in establishing a seal between a shell and a powder box of a powder slush molding apparatus.

FILM SECURING APPARATUS AND METHOD

Systems, apparatuses, and methods to secure a film to a container are provided. An example sealing device utilizes film from a supply of film to seal a lid onto a container. Various sizes of containers are usable with some example sealing devices. Additional features, such as printing on the film and piercing the film for ventilation and/or insertion of a straw are contemplated. One or more markings along the film may be utilized for confirming that an approved film has been loaded into the sealing device. In response, various components or features of the sealing device may be appropriately enabled or disabled. The one or more markings may also be utilized to convey data to the sealing device regarding the installed film, such as for improved operation thereof.
