The present invention relates to a tape comprising a composition comprising a copolyester comprising polymeric units derived from ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid or a diester thereof and >0.50 and <5.00 wt % of polymeric units with regard to the total weight of the polyester derived from an oligomeric dihydroxy compound having a number average molecular weight of >500 g/mol and <5000 g/mol. Such tape has an improved tensile-impact strength and a reduced proneness to splitting during weaving.

An object of the present invention is to provide a shape supporting support material which can be efficiently removed after molding in addition manufacturing and an active energy ray-curable resin composition used for forming the support material. An active energy ray-curable resin composition containing the ionic monomer (A), the nonionic water-soluble monomer (B), the nonpolymerizable compound (C), and the photopolymerization initiator (D), and/or the polyfunctional monomer (E) is used. The support material can be thereby efficiently removed from the formed roughly modeled product. Furthermore, a three-dimensional modeled product having a non-contaminated surface and high molding accuracy can be obtained.

A method of fabricating a composite material, the method comprises the steps of a) providing a first layer of a fibre reinforced polymer, preferably a thermoset FRP, b) providing an array of thermoplastic islands across at least a proportion of a major surface of the first layer, c) providing a second layer of a fibre reinforced polymer, preferably a thermoset FRP, d) laying the second layer over at least some of the islands, and e) securing the first and second layers together. There is also disclosed a composite which comprises a first layer of a fibre reinforced polymer and a second layer of a fibre reinforced polymer, between which is an intervening layer comprising an array of thermoplastic islands.

The first partial member, the second partial member, and the connection region can be co-molded and joined together in a single fabricating step.

A method of forming a three-dimensional object, comprises providing a carrier and an optically transparent member having a build surface, the carrier and the build surface defining a build region therebetween; filling the build region with a polymerizable liquid; irradiating the build region through the optically transparent member to form a solid polymer from the polymerizable liquid while concurrently advancing the carrier away from the build surface to form the three-dimensional object from the solid polymer, while also concurrently: (i) continuously maintaining a dead zone of polymerizable liquid in contact with the build surface, and (ii) continuously maintaining a gradient of polymerization zone between the dead zone and the solid polymer and in contact with each thereof, the gradient of polymerization zone comprising the polymerizable liquid in partially cured form. Apparatus for carrying out the method is also described.
