WATER-SOLUBLE POLYMER FILMS OF ETHYLENE OXIDE HOMO- OR COPOLYMERS, CALENDERING PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND THE USE THEREOF
Described herein is a process for producing water soluble polymer films by low temperature calendering of a polymer composition including an ethylene oxide homo- or copolymer. Also described herein are polymer films obtainable by said process and methods of using the polymer films, in particular for the portionwise packaging of detergents and cleaners.
Polymer composition that can be extruded into a vapour-permeable object
The present invention relates to an extrudable polymer composition comprising: 99.5 to 99.95% of at least one hard-soft block copolymer comprising: at least 25% by weight of soft block polyethylene glycol (PEG) with functionality equal to 2, with respect to the total weight in copolymer; from 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of at least one polyol comprising at least three hydroxyl groups, with respect to the total weight of the composition; characterised in that: the weight-average molecular mass of said copolymer is at least equal to 100,000 g/mol; and the weight-average molecular mass of the polyol is at least equal to 1000 g/mol; and said at least one polyol binding hard copolymer blocks by ester bonds. This invention relates in particular to the use of said composition in extrusion processes for manufacturing vapour-permeable objects.
RESIN POWDER FOR SOLID FREEFORM FABRICATION, DEVICE FOR FABRICATING SOLID FREEFORM FABRICATION OBJECT, AND RESIN POWDER
A resin powder for solid freeform fabrication, having a ratio (Mv/Mn) of 2.00 or less, where Mv represents a volume average particle diameter and Mn represents a number average particle diameter and a ratio of melt mass-flow rate B to melt mass-flow rate A of greater than 0.80 to 1.20, wherein the melt mass-flow rate A and the melt mass-flow rate B are respectively measured at 15 degrees C. higher than the melting point under a load of 2.16 kg according to JIS K7210 format before and after the resin powder is maintained at a temperature 15 degrees C. lower than the melting point under a pressure of 0.1 kPa for four hours.
Manufacturing of Semi-Plastic Pharmaceutical Dosage Units
A process for the manufacture of semi-plastic pharmaceutical unit doses using a rotary moulding machine and semi-plastic pharmaceutical dosage units obtained by this process.
Micro-needle sheet for reducing wrinkles
The present invention relates to a microneedle comprising a plurality of portions, wherein the plurality of portions comprise a distal end portion and a proximal end portion, at least two of the plurality of portions are made of different polymers, and the distal end portion is made of at least one polymer with high swellability and high viscoelasticity.
Thermoplastic composites comprising water-soluble PEO graft polymers useful for 3-dimensional additive manufacturing
Water-soluble thermoplastic polymer composites of water-soluble thermoplastic polyethylene oxide graft polymers, and nanoscopic particulate processing aids such nanoscopic titanium dioxide powders, or water-soluble polyethylene oxide graft polymers, structural reinforcement materials such as carbon or glass fibers, and plasticizers. These water-soluble thermoplastic polymer composites may be useful in preparing, for example, three-dimensional (3D) sacrificial supports, vapor sensors, as well as other three-dimensional (3D) articles, objects, or parts.
Flexible hollow lumen composite
A composite lumen includes an extruded tube of a composite including a poly(glycerol sebacate) (PGS) matrix mixed with a PGS thermoset filler. The composite lumen also includes an overbraid structure overlying an outer surface of the extruded tube. A method of forming a composite lumen includes extruding a PGS tube of a composite including a PGS matrix mixed with a PGS thermoset filler. The method also includes applying an overbraid structure over an outer surface of the extruded tube.
PROSTHETIC TISSUE VALVE AND METHOD OF TREATING THE SAME
A prosthetic tissue valve and a method of treating the prosthetic tissue valve are provided. The method includes: decreasing a temperature of a chamber carrying the prosthetic tissue valve from a first preset temperature to a second preset temperature in a first cooling rate; decreasing the temperature of the chamber carrying the prosthetic tissue valve from the second preset temperature to a third preset temperature in a second cooling rate; and performing a drying process to the prosthetic tissue valve. The second preset temperature is a critical crystallization temperature and is greater than a crystallization temperature of the prosthetic tissue valve. The third preset temperature is lower than the crystallization temperature of the prosthetic tissue valve, and the second cooling rate is greater than the first cooling rate.
TAMPER RESISTANT DOSAGE FORMS
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical dosage forms, for example to a tamper resistant dosage form including an opioid analgesic, and processes of manufacture, uses, and methods of treatment thereof.
Methods, devices, and systems for the fabrication of materials and tissues utilizing electromagnetic radiation
The present invention provides a three-dimensional bioprinter for fabricating cellular constructs such as tissues and organs using electromagnetic radiation (EMR) at or above 405 nm. The bioprinter includes a material deposition device comprising a cartridge for receiving and holding a composition which contains biomaterial that cures after exposure to EMR. The bioprinter also includes an EMR module that emits EMR at a wavelength of about 405 nm or higher. Also provided is a bioprinter cartridge which contains cells and a material curable at a wavelength of about 405 nm or greater. The cells are present in a chamber and are extruded through an orifice to form the cellular construct.
