Residual stress features in organ models
Simulated tissue structures and methods of making them are disclosed. An elastic first material is placed in tension. An elastic second material is adhered to the first material while the first material is in tension. The adhered second material and the first material in tension forms a first shape of the simulated tissue structure. Tension on the first material is released. In releasing the tension of the first material, a force is exerted on the adhered second material bring the combination of the first material and the second material into a second shape. The first shape is maintained by a mold or mandrel and the second shape is the desired shape of the simulated tissue structure.
Process and apparatus to make liquid silicone rubber compositions
Provided are an assembly and process for the continuous or semi-continuous preparation of addition-crosslinking liquid silicone rubbers and to liquid silicone rubber compositions made therefrom. Also disclosed are articles made from the liquid silicone rubber compositions.
SILICONE HYDROGEL COMPOSITION AND SILICONE HYDROGEL LENS
A silicone hydrogel composition includes a first hydrophilic monomer, a siloxane compound, a first crosslinking monomer, a second hydrophilic monomer, and a second crosslinking monomer. The first hydrophilic monomer and the siloxane compound have an acrylate group or an acrylamide group and may also have a methacrylate group or a methacrylamide group. The first crosslinking monomer has a plurality of acrylate groups or acrylamide groups and may also have methacrylate groups or methacrylamide groups. The second hydrophilic monomer has a non-conjugated vinyl group. The second crosslinking monomer has a plurality of non-conjugated vinyl groups. A sum of the weights of the second hydrophilic monomer and the second crosslinking monomer is 40 to 100 parts by weight, relative to 100 parts by weight of the sum of the weights of the first hydrophilic monomer, the siloxane compound, and the first crosslinking monomer.
RESPIRATORY MASK
A respiratory mask, a mould for a respiratory mask, as well as to a method for producing a respiratory mask are disclosed, in which manufacturability and usability of respiratory masks are improved. A respiratory mask is disclosed for administering a breathable gas to a patient, the respiratory mask comprising a first component formed from a flexible material and a second component formed from a material that is more rigid than the flexible material, wherein the first component is formed onto the second component by an overmoulding process.
Method for manufacturing connector
The present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing connector, comprising steps of: Obtaining a terminal module comprising a terminal body and a plurality of terminals, wherein the terminal body comprises an interface part, a hollow area, and an electrical connecting part, the hollow area is disposed between the interface part and the electrical connecting part, the plurality of terminals is disposed on the terminal body, each terminal passes through the interface part, the hollow area, and the electrical connecting part. Assembling a housing on the terminal module, wherein the hollow area passed by the plurality of the terminals is exposed from the housing. Inject-molding a waterproof block into the hollow area, wherein the waterproof block encases the plurality of the terminals disposed in the hollow area, the waterproof block is disposed between the interface part and the electrical connecting part.
Silicone molding process for making a container with zipper members tapered at a flexible spout
A container comprising: a base and freestanding sides extending from the base to define a mouth opposite the base, wherein the mouth has first and second spouts opposite each other and first and second interior sides opposite each other between the first and second spouts; a first zipper member extending from the first interior side of the mouth from the first spout to the second spout; a second zipper member extending from the second interior side of the mouth from the first spout to the second spout, wherein the mouth is deformable between open and closed configurations and the first and second zipper members are disengageable when the mouth is open and engagable when the mouth is closed, wherein the base, sides, and zipper members are a unitary whole container without assembled parts, wherein the container comprises silicone.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SILICONE ELASTOMER ITEM
The invention relates to an additive manufacturing process for producing a silicone elastomer item. In particular, the invention relates to an additive manufacturing method for producing a silicone elastomer item from a photocrosslinkable silicone composition. The invention also relates to a photocrosslinkable silicone composition.
ACOUSTIC ATTENUATION PANEL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHODS
An acoustic attenuation panel includes a cellular structure including a plurality of acoustic cells separated from one another by peripheral partitions, a perforated acoustic structure, the perforated acoustic structure and the cellular structure being formed in one piece in a first material, and a porous acoustic layer formed of a second material and fastened to a surface of the perforated acoustic structure by entangling the first material and the second material.
Permeable Wall Encapsulation Mold
A mold for encapsulating an electrical component. The mold includes an encapsulation chamber and an air inlet. The encapsulation chamber is defined by a housing, an open top, and a solid bottom. The housing includes a solid outer wall, a permeable inner wall, and an air chamber between the solid outer wall and the inner wall. The air inlet is configured to introduce a gas into the air chamber. The encapsulation chamber is sized and shaped to receive the electrical component while leaving a gap for the introduction of encapsulant around the electrical component. The encapsulant may be silicone rubber. To remove an encapsulated electrical component, pressurized air may be introduced through the air inlet into the air chamber, passing through the permeable inner wall, separating the outer surface of the encapsulant from the housing, and allowing the combination casting to be removed from the mold.
