Article of thermosetting epoxy resin composition and carbon fibre fabric, and reinforced structural component made therewith
The present invention relates to a self-adhesive article comprising a non-random fabric of bundles of carbon fibres and a thermosetting epoxy resin composition. The self-adhesive article exhibits high surface adhesion and excellent dimensional stability at room temperature. The self-adhesive article is ideally suited to reinforce structural components, particularly vehicles or ancillary vehicle components. The structural components reinforced by the self-adhesive article exhibit improved impact and torsional strength.
BUILD MATERIALS FOR 3D PRINTING
Polymerizable liquids are described herein which, in some embodiments, can produce 3D printed articles of high resolution and desirable mechanical properties. In one aspect, a polymerizable liquid comprises an acrylate component, a polymeric additive, and a monomeric curing agent, wherein the acrylate component and monomeric curing agent are copolymerizable upon exposure to light. In being copolymerizable, the acrylate component and monomeric curing agent can form a copolymer. As described father herein, the monomeric curing agent can enable further reaction of the copolymer with one or more crosslinking species to link the copolymer with one more polymeric networks.
Method of manufacturing electrical cable, and resulting product, with reduced required installation pulling force
Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.

EYEWEAR LENS CREATION USING ADDITIVE TECHNIQUES WITH DIFFUSE LIGHT
Systems and methods for lens creations are disclosed. The method includes initiating light transmission from a light source through a diffuser into a container holding resin and a substrate. The light transmission is performed according to an irradiation pattern wherein each point in the resin is illuminated by at least 10% of the diffuser. This causes a lens to be formed. To achieve this illumination, at least 15% of the diffuser receives light from the light source. Further, a diameter of the diffuser is greater than or equal to a diameter of the substrate. The system performing the methods includes a polymerization apparatus and may include a resin conditioning and reservoir apparatus, a metrology unit, a resin drainage apparatus and an optional postcuring apparatus.
Polyurethane Protective Film
A protective film that can be included in multi-layer film laminates for use in marketing, advertising campaigns, particularly outdoor or other environment impacted promotions and safety applications. The film includes at least two different polyurethane polymers and is free or substantially free of polyvinyl chloride based polymer. One polyurethane has an ultimate elongation less than 200%, and another polyurethane has an ultimate elongation more than 400%. The film may be transparent, translucent, clear or have other desirable optical properties.

Lead casing for pencil, and pencil thereof for writing, drawing, marking, plotting, and coloring
There is a lead casing for pencil for writing, drawing, marking, plotting, and/or coloring, made of a composition having, by weight relative to the total weight of the lead casing for pencil: a) from 50 to 95% of a mixture of polylactic acid and bio-polyethylene in a weight ratio polylactic acid/bio-polyethylene ranging from 60/40 to 90/10, and b) from 5 to 40% of vegetable fillers chosen in the group consisting of wood fibers. There is a pencil including the lead casing for the pencil of the disclosure for writing, drawing, marking, plotting, and/or coloring as well as a method for manufacturing such a pencil.
Resin composition for modeling material, light curing molding ink set, and method for manufacturing optically shaped article
There is provided a resin composition for a modeling material, used for shaping a modeling material by a manufacturing method for light curing molding using an ink-jet scheme, comprising (A) an ethylenic unsaturated monomer as a photocuring component, (B) a photopolymerization initiator, and (C) a surface adjusting agent, wherein the resin composition for a modeling material has surface tension Mt of 26.0 to 33.0 mN/m, and the resin composition for a modeling material has surface tension Mst represented by the following (i) expression of 33.0 mN/m or more, and this resin composition for a modeling material 4a can afford a light cured article having the good dimensional accuracy.
Extrudable antifog copolyester heat seal resins
A semicrystalline copolyester resin composition formed by twin screw extrusion of various ingredients includes copolyester resins, antiblock, slip and antifog additives. This semicrystalline copolyester resin can be extruded on to PET film or coextruded with PET resin to form clear PET films with antifog properties. These films with antifog properties are produced in a single step without the use of solvent and does not involve any secondary step for coating a separate antifog layer. This minimizes the cost and time required by a converter to make such clear antifog films. These films containing the heat seal copolyester resin can be heat sealed to clear APET trays. Contents within the trays, such as food, can be seen without fogging on the inside of the film that is used to seal the tray. The seals are strong and the peels are smooth giving a very good packaging performance.
