A method of manufacturing a modified liquid crystal polymer includes: providing a liquid crystal polymer having a first melting point; heating the liquid crystal polymer to a first temperature and maintaining at the first temperature for a first time period, in which the first temperature is lower than or equal to the first melting point; and cooling the liquid crystal polymer to a second temperature to form a first modified liquid crystal polymer, the second temperature being lower than the first temperature, the first modified liquid crystal polymer having a second melting point, in which the second melting point is higher than the first melting point.

The liquid crystal polymer composite film has a thickness in the range of 10 μm-200 μm and a ratio of the in-plane dielectric permittivity in the machine direction to the transverse direction in the range of 1.0-1.4 over a frequency range of 1 Ghz to 10 Ghz. A metal-clad laminate includes the liquid crystal polymer composite film and a metal clad layer laminated to a major surface of the liquid crystal polymer composite film. The metal-clad laminate may be included as part of an antenna.

An electrical wire includes a conductor and an insulating layer that covers the conductor and that is cross-linked. The insulating layer is a cross-linked product of a resin composition including (a) a base polymer containing polyolefin and a compatibilizer, (b) a photoradical generator of 0.5 parts by mass or more and 3 parts by mass or less relative to the 100 parts by mass of the base polymer, and (c) a reactive monomer of 1 part by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less relative to the 100 parts by mass of the base polymer. A relative dielectric constant of the insulating layer is less than 2.5.
Liquid crystal polymer film and laminate comprising the same
Provided are a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) film and a laminate comprising the same. The LCP film has a first surface and a second surface opposite each other, and a Kurtosis (Rku) of the first surface ranges from 3.0 to 60.0. With the Rku, the LCP film is able to improve the peel strength with a metal foil and ensure that a laminate comprising the same maintains the merit of low insertion loss.

Three-dimensional printing system employing a thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer
A three-dimensional printing method is provided. The method comprises selectively forming a three-dimensional structure from a polymer composition. The polymer composition comprises a thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer and exhibits a complex viscosity of from about 50 to about 1,000 Pa-s, as determined by a parallel plate rheometer at an angular frequency of 0.63 radians per second, constant strain amplitude of 1%, and temperature 15° C. above the melting temperature of the polymer composition.
COMPOSITION, INJECTION MOLDED ARTICLE, AND MOLDING AUXILIARY AGENT
A composition containing a melt-moldable fluororesin having a 1% decomposition temperature of 300° C. or higher and a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer, 90 mol % or more of all repeating units of the thermotropic liquid crystal polymer having an aromatic structure. The fluororesin is contained in an amount of 99.99 to 97% by mass and the thermotropic liquid crystal polymer is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 3% by mass relative to the composition. Also disclosed is an injection-molded article and a molding aid for injection molding fluororesin.

A transfer film in an image display apparatus includes a temporary support including a substrate and an optically anisotropic layer, in which an in-plane retardation of the substrate at a wavelength of 550 nm is 0 to 20 nm, the optically anisotropic layer is formed of a liquid crystal compound, and where the optically anisotropic layer obtained by peeling the temporary support from the transfer film is allowed to stand in a predetermined environment, and then a maximum value of a dimensional change rate in an in-plane direction of the optically anisotropic layer is defined as ΔL (max) and a minimum value of the dimensional change rate is defined as ΔL (min), the transfer film satisfies at least one of Expression (1) ΔL (max)/ΔL (min)≤1.5 or Expression (2) ΔL (max)≤0.08%.
