The present invention relates to a pellet mixture including a pellet of a liquid crystal polyester resin composition which contains a liquid crystal polyester resin and an inorganic filler, and a fine powder formed of an organic material, in which a volume average particle diameter of the fine powder is in a range of 10 m to 200 m, and an amount of the fine powder is in a range of 10 ppm to 2000 ppm with respect to the total mass of the pellet mixture.
Fluororesin molded article
A PFA molded article of a copolymer (PFA) of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and perfluoro(alkylvinyl ether) (PAVE), the content of the PAVE therein being from 1 to 10% by mol, characterized in that the PFA molded article has a flex life value of not less than 2,000,000 times, a zero shear viscosity of from 10,000 to 20,000 Pa.Math.s, and a heating weight loss of not more than 0.05% by weight, and a process for the production thereof. The PFA molded article has a high flex life value, a low heating weight loss and a low zero share viscosity yet maintaining excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength, etc., and can be produced in good yields.
Joint structure and method of manufacturing joint structure
A joint structure comprising a light-absorbable member having at least one opening portion and a light-permeable member superposed on the light-absorbable member so as to cover the opening portion, wherein an annular weld part is formed so as to enclose the opening portion and join the light-absorbable member and the light-permeable member, and an area ratio of a portion at the side of the light-absorbable member to a portion at the side of the light-permeable member side is in a range of 12-35 viewing a section perpendicular to the extending direction of the annular weld part.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL (3D) PRINTING OF ELECTRO-ACTIVE LENSES
A method of manufacturing an optic includes disposing electronic circuitry on a substrate. The method also includes depositing a first resin on the first side of the electronic circuitry and curing the first resin to form a first optical segment. The method further includes depositing a second resin on the second side of the electronic circuitry and curing the second resin to form a second optical segment. The first and second optical segments encapsulate the electronic circuitry. The first resin and the second resin can include multiple droplets of resin, thereby reducing mechanical force imposed on the electronic circuitry during printing and allowing conformal contact between the resin and the electronic circuitry. Accordingly, electronic circuitry of smaller dimension can be used to form the electronic eyewear.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MODIFIED LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER, LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR CHANGING MELTING POINT OF LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER
A method of manufacturing a modified liquid crystal polymer includes: providing a liquid crystal polymer having a first melting point; heating the liquid crystal polymer to a first temperature and maintaining at the first temperature for a first time period, in which the first temperature is lower than or equal to the first melting point; and cooling the liquid crystal polymer to a second temperature to form a first modified liquid crystal polymer, the second temperature being lower than the first temperature, the first modified liquid crystal polymer having a second melting point, in which the second melting point is higher than the first melting point.
