Lamination process and using coated fiber cores to create an adhesive layer and/or a reinforcement layer
The invention includes a method of providing an intermediary layer in a laminated structure, between two adjacent layers, where the intermediary layer contains a fiber having an extrusion coating. The intermediary layer may form a textile constructed from the fibers, the intermediary layer, when the lamination method proceeds, provides the adhesion between the adjacent layers, as well as reinforcement for the laminated structure.
THERMOPLASTIC FILM AND THE MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A thermoplastic film composed of a single-layer of thermally fuse film. The single-layer of thermally fuse film has a melting point of 50° C.-160° C. and a Shore hardness ranges from 40 A-80 A. The present invention also provides another thermoplastic film, which has a multi-layer structure and the multi-layer structure from bottom to top, there are first thermally fuse film, second thermal fuse and third thermally fuse film. The thickness ratio of the first thermally fuse film, the second thermally fuse film and the third thermally fuse film is 1:1-2:1, in which the thermally fuse film, the first thermally fuse film, the second thermally fuse film, and the third thermally fuse film are thermoplastic polyurethane respectively, and thermoplastic polyurethane contains aromatic functional group or with aliphatic functional group.
OPTICAL FIBER CABLE PRODUCTION METHOD, AND OPTICAL FIBER CABLE
An optical fiber cable includes: a core including optical fibers; a reinforcing wrap that surrounds the core; and a sheath that accommodates the core and the reinforcing wrap. The reinforcing wrap includes an overlapping portion. A first end portion of the reinforcing wrap overlaps a second end portion of the reinforcing wrap at a portion of the reinforcing wrap in a circumferential direction of the optical fiber cable in a cross-sectional view.
SYSTEM FOR TREATMENT OF A MULTI-LAYERED CUSHIONING PRODUCT AND OPERATING METHOD FOR A SYSTEM FOR EXPANDING A MULTI-LAYERED CUSHIONING PRODUCT
A system for treatment of a multi-layered cushioning product includes at least one web layer and at least one expandable layer including a water-based heat-expandable adhesive (WBHEA), comprising: (a) at least one radiator module for irradiating the multi-layered cushioning product including at least one emitter, such as a filament, panel or the like, emitting infrared radiation at an operative temperature of at least 600° C. and at most 3000° C. wherein the at least one radiator module having a power output density of at least 10 kW/m2 and/or at most 300 kW/m2 and (b) a conveyor for moving the, cushioning product relative to the at least one radiator module.
FILM AND PACKAGING MEMBER FOR THE FORMATION OF PACKAGES
A film or packaging member for forming a package comprising at least one body and at least one outer adhesive layer, wherein the body and adhesive layer are made of a polyolefin-based plastic, wherein at least the adhesive layer is fusible to be weld to a target surface, and wherein at least the adhesive layer comprises particles that absorb radiation to heat at least a portion of the packaging member.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPOSITE BLADE FOR AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE
A process for manufacturing a blade made of composite material for a turbomachine is provided. The blade includes an airfoil having a pressure side and a suction side which extend from a leading edge to a trailing edge of the airfoil. The blade further includes a metal sheath that extends along the leading edge of the airfoil. The process includes the steps of: a) placing a preform, made by three-dimensionally weaving fibers, in a mold, a polymerizable adhesive being inserted between the sheath and the edge of the preform; and b) injecting polymerizable resin into the mold to impregnate the preform so as to form the airfoil after solidifying, wherein the resin is injected within a time interval during which the adhesive reaches a freezing point.
DEEP-DRAWN SEGMENT
A method for producing a water-tight, water-vapour-permeable segment, having a three-dimensional contour, for a shoe shaft, an item of clothing or a rucksack or for producing a shoe shaft, an item of clothing or a rucksack, the segment being free of connection points in its surface, and the method for producing the segment being a thermoforming process in which the two-dimensional flat structure obtained is completely laminated in its entirety, the segment being free of connection points in its surface. Also, a water-tight, water-vapour-permeable segment of a three-dimensional functional laminate for introduction into a shoe or shoe shaft, an item of clothing or a rucksack, the segment being dimensionally stable under its own weight, of a single piece and free of connection points in its surface.
Closed loop feedback press
The pressing of an article is achieved with a closed-loop feedback press. The closed-loop feedback press is effective to measure an amount of pressure applied and adjust the pressure to achieve a prescribed amount of compression on the article. Further, the press may leverage a closed-loop feedback system to maintain a consistent temperature of one or more platens. The press is able to adjust a pressure applied one or more times during a pressing operation to accelerate a temperature change in the pressed article while reducing the pressure applied as the temperature approaches a target temperature to limit unintentional deformation and bleeding of the pressed material of the article.
FOAMED POLYMERIC COMPOSITION
The present disclosure relates to an extrusion apparatus comprising: a) a planetary roller extruder; b) a melt pump arranged downstream of the extruder; c) optionally, a fluid feeding equipment; d) a static cooling mixer equipment arranged downstream of the melt pump; e) a foaming equipment arranged downstream of the static cooling mixer equipment. The present disclosure also relates to a process of manufacturing a foamed polymeric composition and uses thereof.
Indirect Metal Mold for Directional Dry Adhesives
The present invention provides a metal mold and the method of making the metal mold for casting directional gecko-inspired adhesives that require deep, slanted features and an undercut wedge structure. The durable metal mold can be used for high quantities. In one example, compression molding is used to mass produce the adhesives. What normally takes 24 hours to produce now with compressing molding takes 5 minutes. Compression molding allows us to increase daily production from 1 adhesive patch to thousands per day.
