Warp stretch fabric and method
10190657 · 2019-01-29 · ·

A warp-directional stretch fabric that defines two right faces and is formed from warp yarns defined by a nylon and fill yarns defined by an aramid. The fabric can be incorporated into a toothed belt, for example a transmission belt, to produce a belt that has enhanced structural and resistance capabilities while capable of being produced at a lower cost than prior art belts. A method of producing an improved toothed belt including the fabric is also provided.

THERMOPLASTIC PREPREG PRODUCTION METHOD

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic prepreg production method which is developed in order to be used as structural and visual material in all industrial fields, mainly aviation, defense industry and automotive, and which enables the thermoplastic resin to be impregnated into the weave formed with a reinforcing yarn (A). The objective of the present invention is to provide a thermoplastic prepreg production method which enables to apply more accurate resin amount to the weavings comprising reinforcing yarn (A) and thermoplastic yarn (B), and to be processed more easily. Discloses is a thermoplastic prepreg production method characterized by the steps of i) obtaining a weave by weaving a thermoplastic yarn and a reinforcing yarn to each other, ii) impregnating of the said thermoplastic yarn into the said weave by melting or softening of said thermoplastic yarn.

Method For Establishing Of Erosion Resistant Surface Part On A Wind Turbine Blade, Method For Creation Of An Erosion Resistant Coating, Wind Turbine Blade With Retrofitted Coating In And Around Areas Where The Blade Is Especially Exposed To Erosion Damages, Coating For Mounting On A Wind Turbine Blade's Front Edge

This invention relates to a wind turbine blade with retrofitted coating in and around areas where the blade is especially exposed to erosion damages, which is established by the coating including a glue layer, a fiber reinforced polymer layer and one or more non-reinforced polymer layers over the fiber reinforced layer, since the polymer layers stretch themselves out over the fiber reinforced layer and includes areas of the wind turbine blade's surface, which are less exposed to erosion damages. A method for creation of such a wind turbine blade and creation of such a coating and the coating itself, is also established with the invention.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR JOINING IN A TUBE
20180371849 · 2018-12-27 ·

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for joining a longitudinal seam in a tube, to an apparatus and method of joining a longitudinal seam in a tube in a borehole, to an apparatus and method of repairing a tube and to a pig. In an aspect an apparatus is provided for joining a longitudinal seam in a tube. The apparatus (200) includes a spool (202) for progressively unwinding a coiled member (10) into an extended form (12). The member (10) transitions from a flat form when coiled (11) to a slit tube form when extended (12), in which form the member is resiliently biased. A joining device (214) is positioned downstream of the spool arranged to provide energy to a portion of the member in its extended form to cause heating so as to progressively join together the longitudinal edges of the slit tube as the member passes the joining device. A longitudinal seam (20) is thereby formed in the tube.
