Multi-Position Shuttle Valve Assembly for an Aircraft Brewing Apparatus
20210068581 · 2021-03-11 ·

A multi-position shuttle valve assembly includes a housing with at least one flow path and a shuttle. The at least one flow path is configured to receive steam from a froth heater of an aircraft brewing apparatus. The at least one flow path is configured to direct the steam to the defined cavity. The shuttle is configured to divert the steam to a froth wand when the shuttle is in a first position. The shuttle is configured to divert the steam to a froth module installed on the housing when the shuttle is in a second position. A translation of the shuttle between the first position and the second position is dependent on the froth module being installed on the housing.

Electric kettle system

An electric kettle system designed for particular use onboard passenger transportation vehicles. In many instances, hot beverages are brewed using a separate beverage maker system, but it may be desirable to maintain the warmth/heat of a kettle containing the hot beverage that is separate from the beverage maker system. The electric kettle system described provides a base and a carafe with a locking connection therebetween. The system incorporates a heater plate within the carafe, and the heater plate is activated when the carafe is positioned on the base.

Aircraft galley brewing apparatus

A brewing apparatus may include a chassis dimensioned to fit within a compartment of an aircraft galley. The chassis may include a front chassis section and one or more guide rails configured to engage one or more tracks in the aircraft galley compartment. The front chassis section may include a brew head assembly with one or more server restraints or one or more brew cup restraints and a brew cup panel assembly. The brew cup panel assembly may include a hinge assembly configured to engage the brew head assembly and a brew cup panel. The brew cup panel may be coupled to the hinge assembly and may be configured to adjust the brew head assembly in a selected direction via actuation of the hinge assembly.

Electrical device for making beverages using power tool battery

An electrical device includes a battery-mount part (40) configured such that a battery used as a power supply of a power tool is mountable thereon, and a heat-generating element (54) for boiling water using electric power from the battery (B1, B2) mounted on the battery-mount part. The electrical device further includes a drip case (21) for holding a pod, in which a predetermined amount of tea leaves or coffee grounds is encased in a permeable bag-shaped element. A hot water supply (50y) supplies the water boiled by the heat-generating element (54) automatically to the drip case (21). An extraction part (21p) in the drip case (21) allows a beverage produced by the hot water that has been poured onto (injected into) the pod to downwardly flow.

Liquid container lid assembly
10919674 · 2021-02-16 ·

A lid assembly outfits a liquid container and may function to position a liquid-permeable container relative to the liquid container. The lid assembly may include a lid body having a rim-receiving groove, an object-supportive depression, and a primary liquid-letting aperture. The primary liquid-letting aperture primarily enables liquid egression from the liquid container. The object-supportive depression supports objects and defines a tertiary liquid-letting aperture for outletting liquid into the liquid container. A lid body insert may be received and supported by the lid body in superior adjacency to the object-supportive depression and has a secondary liquid-letting aperture and an insert axis. The lid body insert is rotatable about the insert axis intermediate open and closed lid positions such that the secondary liquid-letting aperture is rotatably positionable either in superior or lateral adjacency to the primary liquid-letting aperture for selectively opening and closing the lid assembly.
