Beverage distribution system with ergonomic retention of drinking recipients, and process of operation thereof
A beverage distribution system for preparation of espresso coffee and similar aromatic beverages, including a drinking recipient (1, 1′), for example of glass, cup, or similar type, a beverage discharge disposition (2) operatively associated with a beverage preparation device (3), whereby the beverage discharge disposition (2) is provided so that the beverage discharge flow impinges, along a direction opposite to the gravity force and with a given flow pressure, and a flow regulation mechanism (13) on the drinking recipient (1, 1′), whereby the drinking recipient (1, 1′) presents a recipient retention mechanism (17) provided so that the drinking recipients (1, 1′) can only be placed on the recipient placement support (22) in one or two previously defined angular extensions with relation to the beverage discharge disposition (2).
Infuser implement and method of manufacture
A disposable infusing implement for preparing infused beverages, and method of manufacturing the implement. The implement has on its distal end a separately releasable, permeable textile container which holds an apportioned measure of infusible, dried solids such as tea or coffee. The proximal end of the member serves as a handle for directing the distal end into a vessel of liquid, where it can be agitated to aid in steeping tea or ground coffee. After steeping/infusion, the permeable textile container portion may be disposed of and the handle used again. The textile container's permeable cup part is heated and pressed in a die. Infusible, granulated, dried solids such as coffee or tea are apportioned to fill the permeable chamber, and then a lid and flange are pressed atop to fixedly adhere to the permeable textile container, allowing the implement to be packed, formed and sealed from one side.
MANUAL BREWING PRESS WITH LEVER HOOK AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
A manual brewing press with a lever assembly including a post, a base, a press plate extending from the post, and an elongated lever with an attached lever hook. A brew head is configured to be inserted into a top of the press plate and comprises a cylinder and a piston with a plunger disposed inside the cylinder and a stem integrating a pressure gauge. A sealing element is disposed adjacent to at least one of the stem and the plunger. A portafilter attaches to the press plate underside. The lever hook engages the stem of the piston, moves the plunger down and up inside the cylinder as the elongated lever is lowered and raised respectively, pushing water inside the cylinder down through coffee grounds in the portafilter when the elongated lever is lowered, and pulling the plunger back up when the elongated lever is raised for a subsequent brewing.
Carafe, and Related Systems and Methods
A carafe for holding a liquid includes a body having a cavity that is operable to hold a liquid, and a vent that allows fluid, such as air, to flow out of the cavity to the ambient environment, and from the ambient environment into the cavity, while liquid flows into and out of the cavity. The cavity has a mouth through which liquid flows when the liquid flows into the cavity and out of the cavity. The vent includes a passage that extends into the cavity of the body and has a first opening at a first end of the passage, a second opening at a second end of the passage. The passage's first opening is located in the cavity, the passage's second opening is located at the cavity's mouth. The passage is configured such that only the first opening and the second opening allow fluid access into the passage, and air inside of the cavity flows out of the cavity through the second opening when liquid flows into the cavity through the mouth.
Container with heating/cooling assembly and removable power source modules
The embodiments disclose an attachable battery base module configured for powering at least one attachable application module coupled to the attachable battery base module, wherein the attachable battery base is configured for powering the at least one attachable application module, a heating module attachment with a temperature control module coupled to the attachable battery base module configured for heating and/or boiling a liquid, a cooling module attachment with the temperature control module coupled to the attachable battery base module configured for cooling a liquid and wherein the temperature control module includes a temperature maintenance mode, wherein the temperature maintenance mode is configured for maintaining a preset, predefined or user preselected desired temperature when the desired temperature is reached.
Beverage preparation device with beverage draining means
Beverage preparation device (1) for preparing a beverage from a beverage dose (2) comprising: —a brewing unit (3) for receiving the dose (2) and preparing a beverage from the ingredients contained within the dose and pressurized liquid injected in the dose, —a pressure pump (4) for supplying pressurized liquid to the brewing unit (3), —beverage dispensing means (5) connected to the brewing unit and comprising a beverage injector (6) arranged for dispensing the beverage through a bottom (8) of a beverage receptacle (7); wherein the beverage dispensing means (5) comprises a residual beverage draining valve (9), between the beverage injector (6) and the brewing unit (3), which is arranged to be moved between a beverage dispensing position and a residual beverage draining position, wherein the residual beverage draining valve (9) and/or the beverage receptacle (7) comprise valve activation means (10) arranged to move the draining valve between a beverage dispensing position in response to the engagement of the bottom of the receptacle with the beverage injector and a residual beverage draining position in response to the removal of receptacle from the beverage injector (6).
Adjustable additive cartridge systems
An adjustable additive cartridge that provides adjustable metering of additive to a base fluid as the base fluid is flowing through the cartridge. A spout is mounted for limited rotation within a base element of the cartridge. Rotation of the spout results in varying degrees of flow of additive into a base fluid flow path through the cartridge. The cartridge may be used with a portable beverage container, such as a sports bottle or off-the-shelf water bottle. The supply of base fluid in a container used with the cartridge may be kept in an unmixed, pure state, and other cartridges, each having different additives (i.e., flavors) may be used interchangeably with the same base fluid supply. The cartridge allows a consumer/user to experience different additives, such as different flavors or supplement compositions, for a given supply of base liquid in a single container. A check valve on the cartridge prevents backflow of the base fluid. An integrated filter for filtering base fluid flowing into the cartridge may be provided. The additive cartridge may be sealed to provide for extended storage and to provide a user/consumer with evidence of integrity, quality and/or tampering prior to purchase and/or use. Visual and tactile indicators of the amount of additive being added to a base fluid may be provided. A container may retain a spare additive adjustable cartridge on the container.
