An improved drinking vessel is a drinking cup or glass having a mixing blade located on the interior bottom having a shaft passing through the bottom of the glass to a rotationally separate portion of the glass that can be spun by hand. A screen sets inside the glass just above the mixing blade to prevent ice or other large solids in the glass from contacting the mixing blade.

Beverage Maker Platen Overflow Sensing System

A beverage maker platen overflow sensing system is disclosed. The sensing system includes a process control board (PCB) in communication with solenoid valves of a manifold, the solenoid valves controlling the flow of hot water (e.g., for brewing coffee or tea) into a server positioned in a platen of the beverage maker. The PCB further includes an overflow detection circuit connected to the solenoid valves. Two signal probes are positioned near the forward edge of the platen. Similarly, ground probes are positioned in the platen below the signal probes and providing a ground path to the PCB. The overflow detection circuit generates an electrical signal between the signal probes and detects an overflow state when fluid in the platen grounds the signal between the signal probes and the ground probes. While the overflow persists, the overflow detection circuit ceases the water flow by electrically signaling the solenoid valves to close.

Portable household beverage machine

The present invention relates to a portable household beverage machine comprising a body structure and a cup which is detachably connected to the body structure. A tank, a pump, a capsule bin for containing a substance to be brewed and a capsule bin pedestal for closing the capsule bin which are communicated in sequence are provided in the body structure. The capsule bin pedestal is detachably connected to the body structure or the capsule bin and is communicated with the cup. A space formed when the cup is connected to the body structure can contain all beverages that are output. In the portable household beverage machine according to the present invention, by arranging the tank, the pump, the capsule bin and the capsule bin pedestal in the body structure, and by detachably connecting the body structure with the cup, beverage machine is small in size and convenient for a user to carry. By arranging the pump, water in the tank automatically becomes high pressure water after passing through the pump, and then the high pressure water is mixed with the substance to be brewed in the capsule bin after flowing into the capsule bin, such that a beverage is made. The beverage flows into the cup connected to the body structure eventually, and then a user may drink the fragrant beverage after taking the cup.

A modular flow monitoring package (MFMP) is provided for use in an additive delivery system. The MFMP may be manufactured as an add-on to be added to an existing additive delivery system, or may be incorporated into a cartridge or container structure. The MFMP includes a flow sensor for sensing flow of a base fluid and user actuator position sensors for sensing the position of one or more user actuated additive flow adjustment levers. A visual display, which may comprise an array of multi-color LED's may convey information to a user that is relevant to a user's use of the additive delivery system or the user's nutritional needs. Such information may include a current dosage of additive, being delivered, whether a recommended dosage of additive has been consumed, remaining life of a cartridge or supply of additive, and other data relative to health or performance monitoring.

A portable, battery-operated vacuum infusion machine includes a top container assembly with a compartment that houses an air pump, a battery, and a controller. The top container assembly couples to the top opening of a separate bottom container. When coupled together, the top and bottom containers are connected by flow holes superimposed by a filter in the top container. An air pump switched on or off by a controller exerts negative pressure in the bottom container by means of a suction port and induces liquid in the top container to enter the bottom container under pressure while the filter in the top container ensures that the infusion residue is separated from the liquid and only the prepared infusion has passage to the bottom container. The bottom container can be opened by means of removing the top container in order to allow for serving the prepared infusion.
