THERMOFORM PACKAGING MACHINE AND METHOD OF FORMING-IN A FILM WEB INTO CARDBOARD ELEMENTS
A thermoform packaging machine comprising a forming station. The forming station comprises at least one forming tool lower part, the forming tool lower part may be movable transversely to an operating direction of the thermoform packaging machine. The forming tool lower part may comprise at least one reception unit with one or a plurality of troughs for receiving cardboard elements. At a forming position the forming tool lower parts are in contact with the forming tool upper parts such that the first film web may be formed-in into the forming tool lower parts. Further, the first film web may be formed-in into the cardboard elements during the forming process and, in the case of a skin film, an adhering or an adhesive connection may be established between the skin film and the inner surfaces of the cardboard elements.
DEEP-DRAWN PAPER TRAY, A METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR MAKING IT, AND A TRAY-FORMED PRODUCT PACKAGE
A deep-drawn paper tray made of paper material, a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the tray, and a closed product package comprising the tray. The tray having a bottom and upwardly expanding side walls around the bottom, the side walls of the tray being shaped to expand through a plurality of circumferential steps dimensioned low enough for obtaining wrinkle-free side walls for the tray. The outermost step is a flat, wrinkle-free rim flange, which enables liquid and gas proof heat-sealing of a lid to form the package. The apparatus may comprise upper and lower moulding tools with concentric movable frames for forming the tray bottom and side wall steps from paper blanks, and moulding tools may be mounted onto a rotating turret carrying a paper blank through working stations arranged along the turret circumference, to shape the tray bottom and the side wall steps at the consecutive stations.
METHOD OF FASTENING AN OBJECT TO A CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT
A method of fastening an edge structure to a construction element includes providing the construction element, being a planar structure with with two cover regions and a middle region between the cover regions; providing the edge structure being continuously extended, the edge structure having contact surfaces with a thermoplastic material shaped to lie against the cover regions in an outer surface of the construction element, and, opposite the contact surfaces, a coupling-in surface for coupling energy into the edge structure; coupling energy into the edge structure and pressing the contact surfaces against the cover regions until at least a portion of the thermoplastic material is liquefied and pressed into the cover regions; and repeating or continuing the steps of coupling and pressing until the edge structure is attached to the building element at a plurality of discrete locations or over an extended region along an edge of the construction element.
INSULATION MATERIAL AND METHOD OF MAKING INSULATION MATERIAL
A repulpable insulation material includes a batt formed of a mixture of thermoplastic binder fibers and cellulose fibers bound together by the thermoplastic binder fibers, the thermoplastic binder fibers making up about 0.5% to 25% by weight of the batt, the repulpable insulation material having a weight within a range from 1000 GSM to 1600 GSM, wherein subjecting the repulpable insulation material to a repulpability test produces greater than 85% fiber yield.

Use of recycled packaging in polymer composite products
A polymer composite and its method of manufacture using a recycled multilayer material. An example of the recycled multilayer material is comprised of a polyethylene/polyethylene terephthalate/aluminum film or polyethylene/nylon/aluminum film that may be extruded with organic filler to obtain desirable performance in wood-substitute products such as deck boards, railing, fencing, pergolas, residential cladding/siding, sheet products, and other applications.
METHOD OF MAKING AN INSULATION MATERIAL AND AN INSULATED MAILER
A method and system for producing an insulated mailer and an insulated box having an insulative paper fiber pad substructure with a density of less than about 10 pounds per cubic foot. The insulative paper fiber pad has entangled reinforcement fibers. A method of forming an insulative paper fiber pad using recycling-compatible or water soluble adhesive and paper layers is provided.
Method for processing planar material webs made of a fiber-containing material
A method for processing planar material webs made of a fiber-containing material is disclosed. The planar material webs are fed as material web portions or endless material web, for the production of three-dimensional products. Before a material web is pressed for shaping, the material web is preformed three-dimensionally by deforming the material web in at least one direction substantially without stretching or compressing.
METHOD FOR MAKING A PACKAGE IN SHEET MATERIAL
Described herein is a method for making a package (300) comprising at least one sheet (100) of packaging material including at least one layer of paper, which is shaped so as to present a hollow portion (102) surrounded by a perimetral portion (104). The hollow portion (102) of the shaped sheet (100) a ratio between depth and width higher than 0.39, preferably between 1:1.8 and 1:2.5.
