Method of manufacturing moulded articles
A method of producing a moulded article comprising a thermoset polymer and particles of porous natural materials, such as wood materials, and uses thereof. The composite material has a continuous matrix of a hardened thermoset polymer and, distributed within the matrix, and the particles are at least partially encased by the thermoset polymer. The method comprises the steps of providing a mould with two opposite pressing surfaces, said pressing surfaces defining a space between them; feeding particles of porous natural materials into the space between the pressing surfaces; advancing the surfaces towards each other to compress the particles in said space; feeding unhardened thermoset resin in liquid form into the mould so as to fill at least said space between pressing surfaces while keeping the particles compressed between the pressing surfaces; and curing the thermoset resin in the mould to provide a moulded composite article.
Facility for forming wood plastic composite with microwave and degassing device
The present disclosure relates to a facility for forming a wood plastic composite by mixing and extruding wood powder and a polymer resin. According to a facility of the present disclosure, in a process of forming a wood plastic composite, gas and water vapor contained in wood powder and polymer resin are efficiently removed, and thus, a coupling force between wood powder and polymer resin increases, and also, wood powder is uniformly dispersed inside polymer resin, and thus, physical properties of a wood plastic composite to be formed is not degraded, and in addition, since there is no stagnant section while molten liquid of wood powder and polymer resin passes through each apparatus in the facility, wood powder is prevented from carbonizing or polymer resin is prevented from solidifying, and thus, physical properties of the wood plastic composite to be formed are maintained constant.
COMPOSITE RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT FOR ACOUSTIC MEMBER
A composite resin molded product for an acoustic member is a composite resin molded product for an acoustic member containing a main agent resin and fibrous fillers dispersed in the main agent resin, and a concentration of the fibrous fillers is 50% by weight or more in the composite resin molded product, and crystallinity of the main agent resin around the fibrous fillers is higher than crystallinity of the main agent resin in other parts in the composite resin molded product.
Dowel for arranging in lightweight building boards, method for fixing at least one dowel and arrangement comprising a dowel and a lightweight building board
The invention relates to a dowel for arranging in lightweight building boards, wherein a lightweight building board has a first cover layer and a second cover layer made of compact, pressure-resistant material and, arranged between the cover layers, a core layer made of material having a lower density than the cover layers, comprising a first dowel part and a second dowel part, wherein the first and the second dowel part are designed to be displaceable relative to one another, in which dowel the first dowel part and the second dowel part each have at least two fingers which extend parallel to a longitudinal direction of the dowel, wherein, in the plugged-together state of the first and second dowel part, the fingers of the first dowel part and the fingers of the second dowel part inter-engage at least in certain portions.
MOLDED ARTICLE OF COMPOSITE RESIN CONTAINING FIBERS
A molded article of a composite resin containing fibers includes a base resin 1 and a fibrous filler 2 having fibrillated ends in a fiber length direction. An expression Ho × 0.4 ≤ H ≤ Ho is satisfied where H is a maximum height for an unbroken first plate-like test piece having a thickness of 1 to 2 mm after the test piece is kept at -10° C. for three hours and then is hit by a dropped weight of 250 g; and Ho is as same maximum height for the unbroken second plate-like test piece only made of the base resin with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm as for the first plate-like test piece. An expression So × 0.4 ≤ s ≤ So is satisfied where S is a Charpy impact strength (JIS K 7111) of the molded article, and So is a Charpy impact strength of the molded article only made of the base resin.
WOOD-PLASTIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Described is a wood-plastic composite material for structural components of transport pallet, said structural components being capable of being nailed together, having a matrix foamed by means of a blowing agent, wood meal fibres and an adhesion promoter. To create a wood-plastic composite material of this kind which enables a cost-efficient production of transport pallets with a wood-like appearance and constitutes a reliable replacement for the soft wood materials used up until now, at least with regard to weight and mechanical strength properties, it is proposed that the matrix, which comprises a long chain-branched polyolefin, has a mass fraction of 30-95%, the wood meal fibres have a mass fraction of 5-50% and the adhesion promoter has a mass fraction of up to 10% of the wood-plastic composite material, the composite material density being less than 0.3 g/cm.sup.3.
Vacuum-assisted co-extrusion of flexible fibres and the moldable thermoplastic composites produced
A composite and method for producing the composite by incorporating wood or wood pulp fibres with a suitable thermoplastic polymer and coupling agent are described. Homogeneous, void-free transparent/translucent thermoplastic materials in the form of pellets, films or three-dimensional moldable products are produced. The wood pulp fibres can be discrete natural fibres, and flexible assemblies of nano to micro elements, e.g., assemblies of aggregated carbon nanotubes. It is also possible to use our vacuum-assisted co-extrusion process to produce hybrid composites comprising the wood pulp fibre and a further rigid fibre, like glass or carbon fibres, and a flexible fibre or fibrillar network, like cellulose fibres or cellulose filaments. The thermoplastic resin can be, but not limited to, polyolefins, like polypropylene or polyethylene, or polyesters, like polylactic acid, or co-polymers, like acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene terpolymer.
