A device for making a beverage particularly a coffee-based beverage, comprising an electronic control unit; a portable cooking pot having a bottom and an open top for receiving a mixture that is added to the cooking pot to make the beverage, in which a cooking process is performed; a heating means for heating the cooking pot during the cooking process; and an infrared temperature sensor for contactless sensing the temperature in the cooking pot. Said infrared temperature sensor is configured to detect the temperature of an upper surface of the mixture during the cooking process and said infrared temperature sensor is disposed in proximity to the cooking pot, at a distance such as to allow the measurement of the temperature of the upper surface of the mixture contactless.

The pump pumps liquid in the container to the infuser through the riser tube. A protective flow-diversion cover is sleeved over a top end of the riser tube, and the protective flow-diversion cover is provided with a water outlet. The lid of the beverage making device is provided with a protruding member extending downward. Only when the lid is closed, the protective flow-diversion cover can open the water outlet by being triggered by the protruding part. This ensures that no liquid will be ejected from the beverage making device when the lid is opened.

A fountain-type brewing device with an automatic water supply function comprises a device body provided with a brewing container and a brewing frame. A main passage and a branched passage are disposed in the brewing frame. A brewing basket is disposed on the brewing frame. The guide rod is provided with a guide cavity communicated with the branched passage, and a water outlet of the guide cavity is exactly opposite to a pipe outlet of the main passage.
