Coffee maker
A coffee maker with continuously adjustable water flow rate, continuously adjustable feedback-controlled water temperature, and low thermal mass allows baristas to experiment with and digitally program and/or record different flow-rate and temperature profiles (brewing profiles) over the course of brewing a cup or batch of coffee. Brewing profiles may be recorded on one machine and reproduced (played back) on another machine, allowing reproducibility of subtle flavor variations in brewed coffee.

Open extract beverage dispenser and method for using the same
An open extract beverage dispenser and method for using the same. A storage device produces and stores liquid with nanobubbles, an extraction device is installed with an extraction part where a solid to be extracted is placed and a liquid storage part that accommodates the extraction part, and the storage device and extraction device are connected by a connection and circulation device. The extraction part and the liquid storage device are connected by a first conveyor in the connection and circulation device, which channels the liquid with nanobubbles to the extraction pant for mixing with the solid to be extracted; the extraction part and the liquid storage part are connected by a second conveyor in the connection and circulation device, which re-channels the liquid in the liquid storage part to the extraction part for re-mixing with the solid to be extracted.
CAPSULES FOR CONTAINING COFFEE OR ANOTHER SUBSTANCE FROM WHICH A BEVERAGE CAN BE EXTRACTED USING HOT WATER
A capsule for use in a coffee extraction machine has a frustoconical side wall, a transverse base closing one end of the side wall, an open mouth at the end remote from the base and a peripheral flange encircling the open mouth. A section of the side wall of the capsule close to the flange is thicker than the remainder of the side wall.
Apparatus for brewing beverages
In a beverage brewing apparatus and method for brewing a beverage from a ground ingredient, a filter is configured for containing the ground ingredient. A distribution system is coupled in fluid communication with a source of liquid. A showerhead is disposed above the filter and is coupled in fluid communication with the distribution system for receiving liquid from the source of liquid. The showerhead is rotatable about a rotation axis thereof and has an exit nozzle through which liquid delivered to the showerhead by the distribution system exits the showerhead for delivery to the filter. The exit nozzle is located other than at the rotation axis of the showerhead such that liquid is channeled into the filter in a generally circular pattern upon rotation of the showerhead.
Combination cup and brewer
A system produces a brew from an infusible brew substance using a combination of a mug and a brewer housed within the mug. The mug includes a vessel inside the mug that holds the water used to brew the brew. The vessel has an exit port below its upper rim. A removable stopper closes the vessel. A siphon tube fits through the exit port and extends downward within the vessel to the siphon's suction end. A heating element is immersed in water within the vessel. When electrically energized, the heating element vaporizes the water, which rises to the top and pushes the water downward into the suction end. A mesh filter holds the infusible brew substance or the substance is placed in the bottom of the mug. The mesh filter is located below the siphon sticking out of the exit port. Water flows through the filter into the mug outside the vessel.
Semi-Continuous Apparatus for Creating an Extract from Coffee or Other Extractable Materials
The techniques provide for a reconfigurable extraction column length based on the number of columns from a plurality of columns configured for use in an extraction apparatus. The apparatus includes a plurality of columns that each have an inlet, a central portion configured to hold extractable material during an extraction process, and an outlet. The reconfigurable extraction apparatus also includes a piping system connected to each of the plurality of columns that can selectively connect each of the plurality of columns, such that each column from the plurality of columns can be configured for an extraction process either singularly or in series or in parallel with one or more other columns from the plurality of columns, administering a solvent to one or more of the plurality of columns, and outputting the solvent after an extraction process occurs in the one or more of the plurality of columns.
