A modular filter for a vacuum mug comprises a mug cap and at least one filter basket. The mug cap's bottom opening has a cylindrical shape whose outer wall is threaded. The filter basket comprises a cylindrical top plate, at least one vertical post, and a cylindrical bottom plate. The vertical posts are disposed equidistantly around the perimeter of the top and bottom plates. The cylindrical top plate, vertical posts, and cylindrical bottom plate are fused together to form a cylindrical cage structure. The gaps between said vertical posts are covered with stainless steel mesh screens. The top plate's inner wall is threaded for mating with the threads on the outer wall of the mug cap's bottom opening. The bottom plate comprises of top and bottom halves wherein the bottom half is inset and its outer wall is threaded.

The present invention relates to a method for extracting Dutch coffee and an apparatus thereof, and more particularly, to a method for extracting Dutch coffee, which can exactly control a speed of extraction of Dutch coffee and an amount of coffee to be extracted by supplying water during a predetermined time repeatedly at regular time intervals in each step, can always provide Dutch coffee of a constant concentration to consumers by uniformly distributing water to a filtering container, and can provide a rich aroma of Dutch coffee by collecting the aroma of Dutch coffee not to dissipate, and an apparatus thereof. The method for extracting Dutch coffee controls an amount of extracted coffee by setting an opening time of a valve mounted between a water tank and a filtering container, controls a speed of extraction by setting one cycle length, and mechanically controls a total speed of extraction by setting a total time, and the Dutch coffee extraction apparatus includes: an upper main body frame; a lower main body frame which is formed on a lower portion of the upper main body frame and has a width shorter than that of the upper main body frame; a side frame which connects the upper main body frame and the lower main body frame with each other; a water tank which is disposed inside the upper main body frame and has a cover provided on an upper portion thereof to store water therein; a filtering container which is disposed at both sides of the lower main body frame, is connected with the water tank via a nozzle to receive water from the water tank, and stores ground coffee thereon; an extracted liquid storage container which is disposed under the filtering container to store an extracted liquid thereon; and a digital operation unit which is formed on one side of the side frame.

Beverage Brewer
A beverage brewing device includes a lower container for receiving and heating water, a connected upper container for receiving beverage, and a piston-cylinder assembly for receiving grounds, captured within the lower container. The piston-cylinder assembly includes a cylinder, a piston movable in the cylinder, a conical diffuser fixedly attached to the piston, and a freely movable mass disposed between the piston and the conical diffuser. The piston and the conical diffuser define an expansion chamber therebetween. The chamber is formed between a diffuser plate forming the top of the piston and an inner conical surface of the diffuser, which defines an orifice functioning as a nozzle. The diffuser plate has a plurality of holes, on which the grounds are placed. The mass is seated at a valve seat at the entrance of the expansion chamber to operatively block the flow of fluid through the nozzle when the pressure of the fluid is insufficient to displace the weight of the mass. When water is heated in the lower container becomes pressurized sufficiently to pass through the nozzle and displace the seated mass from the valve seat, the water passes through the nozzle at relatively high pressure and velocity, and enters the expansion chamber at lowered pressure. It then flows through the diffuser plate, through the grounds, and into the upper chamber.

Beverage filtering cartridge
A beverage filtering cartridge for obtaining beverages, such as coffee, tea or the like, is provided. The beverage filtering cartridge includes an impermeable cup-shaped container, a filtering element, an impermeable cover and a removable instrument. The container has a first opening and a second opening which is smaller than the first opening. The first opening is sealed with the impermeable cover and the second opening is blocked by the removable instrument. The filtering element is located in the container so as to divide the container into two chambers. The tea or coffee will be located between the filtering element and the impermeable cover. When the consumer uses the cartridge by a machine, the consumer must remove the removable instrument and then put the cartridge into the machine. The machine injects water into the cartridge so as to quickly brew the drink, i.e. tea or coffee.
