CONTROLLABLE BREWER
The present disclosure includes a beverage making device including a heated water tank and a reservoir for controllably dispensing water over a beverage making substance to create a beverage. The beverage making device includes a vent valve coupled to the reservoir and heated water tank, a pump coupled to the reservoir for moving water from the reservoir to the heated water tank, a flow meter associated with the heated water tank for determining the water dispensed into the heated water tank, a spray head coupled to the heated water tank for distributing water over a beverage making substance. A controller coupled to the relevant portions of the system for controllably operating the system.
Single-serve formed soluble coffee product
A method for forming a dissolvable thermally reduced, solidified and dehydrated coffee is disclosed. The method may comprise the steps of freezing a liquid coffee concentrate and thermally reducing, solidifying and dehydrating the frozen liquid coffee concentrate until a hard outer crust is formed which may have a hardness greater than or equal to an interior portion of the thermally reduced, solidified and dehydrated coffee.

A coffee compacting assembly (22) that receives ground coffee to compact the coffee in a filter cup (25) having a floor (39), the coffee compacting assembly (22) including: an auger (33) having an axis (30) about which the auger (33) is rotated to compact the ground coffee in the filter cup (25), with the auger (33) extending angularly and longitudinally relative to said axis (30); a motor (51) coupled to the auger (33) to rotate the auger (33) about said axis (30); and an auger positioning device (40) engaged with the auger (33) to provide for movement of the auger (33) between a start position and a raised position above the start position, with the start position being predetermined so that the auger (33) is located at a predetermined location within the filter cup (25).

A vacuum chambered beverage producer that has a upper hopper (15) and a lower hopper (32) that can be stacked on top of each other to create separate sealed chambers. The upper hopper (15) has a flavor adjustment valve (16) and the lower hopper (32) has a flavor adjustment valve (33) that is attached near the drain holes which can be adjusted to open or close up the drain holes to any size of diameter to increase or decrease the strength and flavor of a finished flavored beverage (49) produced by using a liquid and food products. The lower hopper (32) has a breather trough (36) which is a recessed area generally located on the bottom of the lower hopper (32) so that it can fit onto various sizes of receptacles (48) making it universal to many applications. The stackable beverage producer further comprising a removable lid (11) that has a hole (14) generally located in the middle of the lid (11) with a lid hole cover (12) that can open or close the hole (14) to any size of diameter, and a removable base (46) that is used in the storage mode.

Beverage preparation and infusion system
A machine is provided for preparing a desired beverage product from infusible materials. The machine includes a brew chamber that is adapted to hold the infusible materials, the brew chamber having an inlet and an outlet. An inlet tube is provided for transferring a fluid from a fluid receptacle to the inlet of the brew chamber and a dispensing tube is provided for transferring fluid from the outlet of the brew chamber to the receptacle. A fluid pump is provided for recirculating fluid through the brew chamber. In another aspect, a machine is provided for preparing a desired beverage product containing a gas. The machine includes a fluid pump for recirculating fluid from a fluid receptacle through an inlet tube to a dispensing tube and back to said fluid receptacle. The machine further includes an air pump disposed between the inlet tube and the fluid pump for introducing air into said beverage fluid that is recirculated by said fluid pump. A pod for use with the machine is also provided.

A beverage maker includes a water source; a filter holder; and a beverage cartridge holder. The beverage cartridge holder may be positioned between the water source and the filter holder and configured for fluid communication between the water source and the filter holder.
Portion capsule for preparing a beverage
A portion capsule for producing a beverage. The portion capsule includes a capsule body that has a collar edge and a capsule bottom; a filter element located inside of the capsule body, the filter element is elastic, the filter element has a flange that is attached to the collar edge of the capsule body, the filter element has a bottom; and a cover attached to the capsule body. The bottom of the filter element is spaced apart from the capsule bottom such that a free space remains between the filter element and the capsule bottom. The filter element is spaced apart from the capsule bottom in such a manner that only before a liquid is applied to a beverage substrate, does the filter element not touch the capsule bottom.
