COMPOSITE MATRICES DESIGNED FOR ENHANCED BONE REPAIR
Osteoconductive synthetic bone grafts are provided in which porous ceramic granules are embedded in a biocompatible matrix material. The grafts, which may also include one or more of a coating, a reinforcing bio-absorbable mesh, and an osteoinductive protein or peptide, are generally porous and may incorporate fenestrations.
SOUND INSULATING SHEET MATERIAL WITH A CELLULAR STRUCTURE INCLUDING GELATINE AND/OR A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A composition for producing a sheet material with a cellular structure, the composition including the following components: (a) about 5 to about 25 weight % gelatine, (b) about 25 to 60 weight % filler material, (c) about 15 to about 40 weight % water, and (d) a cellular structure promoting agent.
MEDICAL DEVICE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING MEDICAL DEVICE, AND MEDICAL DEVICE PRODUCING APPARATUS
Provided is a medical device including a porous portion and a dense portion, wherein an arithmetic average roughness of a surface of the porous portion is 2.0 μm or greater but 20 μm or less, and wherein an arithmetic average roughness of a surface of the dense portion is less than 2.0 μm.
MULTIPLE-FUNCTION FILLER MATERIALS
A composition of matter includes a particle, a resin bonding functionality bonded to a first portion of the particle, and a lubricating functionality bonded to a second portion of the particle.
FACE FILMS AND PRESSURE SENSITIVE LAMINATES FOR PRINTING
Microporous structures in face films are described for improving printability of the films. Also described are laminates and pressure sensitive adhesive laminates including the microporous structured face films. Various related methods are additionally described.
LATENT ELASTIC OLEFIN FILM LAMINATES AND METHODS OF MAKING ABSORBENT ARTICLES INCORPORATING THE SAME
A latent elastic film laminate is provided including a film predominantly comprising olefin elastomers. The film is stretched and maintained in a stretched state in order to impart the desired level of latent elasticity such that the conditioned film laminate will shrink upon activation, such as by heating. The latent elastic film laminate can be advantageously used in the manufacture of various elasticated articles, including absorbent personal care articles, by activating the latent elasticity after attachment to the article and thereby shirring and elasticizing components to which the film laminate is attached.
Fluorine-containing Mixture Material and Fluorine-containing Super-oleophobic Microporous Membrane Using Same as Raw Material, and Preparation Method therefor and Use thereof
This disclosure provides a fluorine-containing mixture and a fluorine-containing super-oleophobic microporous membrane using the fluorine-containing mixture as a raw material, as well as preparation methods and applications for the fluorine-containing mixture and the fluorine-containing super-oleophobic microporous membrane. The fluorine-containing mixture of the present disclosure comprises, by weight percentage, the following components: Component A: 50%˜90%; Component B: 3%˜25%; Component C: 0%˜35%; Component D: 0%˜3%; wherein Component A comprises high molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene homopolymer or copolymer dispersion resin; Component B comprises one or more fluorine-containing alkyl acrylate monomers; Component C comprises one or more fluorine-free acrylates; Component D comprises high temperature free radical initiator. There's no need to add inflammable or explosive lubricating oil, making the process highly safe; and the obtained fluorine-containing super-oleophobic microporous membrane has high waterproof, air-permeable, oil-resistant and washable performance, in line with the needs of a new generation of waterproof and air-permeable protective clothing.
BRIGHT SILVER BASED QUATERNARY NANOSTRUCTURES
Disclosed are nanostructures comprising Ag, In, Ga, and S and a shell comprising Ag, Ga and S, wherein the nanostructures have a peak wavelength emission of 480-545 nm and wherein at least about 80% of the emission is band-edge emission. Also disclosed are methods of making the nanostructures.
Resurrection Of Antibiotics That MRSA Resists By Silver-Doped Bioactive Glass-Ceramic Particles
A bioactive scaffold is provided. The bioactive scaffold includes an interconnected web of struts composed of a glass-ceramic material, the web of struts being printed as a three-dimensional structure from a filament composition having a bimodal distribution of glass-ceramic microparticles, wherein the bioactive scaffold has a porosity defined by spaces between struts of greater than or equal to about 40% to less than or equal to about 80% and an average pore size of greater than or equal to about 200 μm to less than or equal to about 400 μm. Methods of making the bioactive scaffold and treating bone defects using the bioactive scaffolds are also provided.
Printing a chemical mechanical polishing pad
A method of fabricating a polishing layer of a polishing pad includes successively depositing a plurality of layers with a 3D printer, each layer of the plurality of polishing layers deposited by ejecting a pad material precursor from a nozzle and solidifying the pad material precursor to form a solidified pad material.
