Use of car and bite technology coupled with an ScFv from an antibody against human thymidine kinase 1 to specifically target tumors
Modified T-cells have paratopes against human TK1 epitopes, are made by producing monoclonal antibodies that are specific to TK1, creating chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) by fusion of the single-chain variable fragments (scFv) of the monoclonal antibodies to T-cell signalling domains, and transducing the CARs to the T-cells.
Tea steeping and dispensing apparatus and method
An automatic apparatus and method for steeping tea which can (i) precisely and automatically control the temperature of the steeping water and the manner in which the water contacts the tea, (ii) retain the tea in a submerged position in the apparatus below the predetermined steeping level of the steeping water, (iii) optimally determine and control the steeping time, (iv) automatically dispense the steeped syrup when the steeping time and process are complete, (v) automatically notify the user of the status of the process, and (vi) provide and accommodate interchangeable steeping chambers formed of different materials which can be selected to provide optimum results for the particular teas chosen by the user, and to enhance the tea making process, as well as serving a decorative function.
INTEGRATED BREWING AND DRINKING UTENSIL
An integrated brewing and drinking utensil comprises a first liquid receiver body, a second liquid receiver body, a connector, a sealing member and a filter. The first liquid receiver body includes a first end and a first open end. The second liquid receiver body includes a second end and a second open end. The connector includes a channel having a first connection end and a second connection end. The first connection end is detachably connected to the first open end, and the second connection end is detachably connected to the second open end. The first connection end is hermetically connected to the connector through the sealing member, and/or the second connection end is hermetically connected to the connector through the sealing member. The filter is provided with a filtering hole. The filter is connected to the connector and is located between the first connection end and the second connection end.
Method and Apparatus for the Enhancement of the Aqueous Extraction of Plant Material
An apparatus and method for improving extraction of one or more components from a plant material when adding a hot, cold or mid-temperature liquid to the plant material to cause extraction of one or more components. During, or after, addition of the liquid it is exposed to electromagnetic signals at one or a range of frequencies. The signals are provided in a pulsed manner creating periods of electromagnetic frequency signals and periods where there are none, which enhances extraction of one or more components. In an embodiment the liquid water is added to the plant material to create a beverage such as a tea or infusion. In an embodiment the electromagnetic emitting means can be suitably designed to controlled apparatus and in another it is a smartphone tablet or similar device with a controlling app thereon.
Multi-functional modular drink assembly
A multifunction drinking assembly includes a primary container having a bottom wall and a continuous upstanding side wall, the side wall defining an open top and defining an interior area. An inner surface of the side wall includes a threaded section displaced from the upper rim and includes an upper ledge. The side wall has a lower ledge upwardly displaced from the bottom wall. A primary lid includes an upper portion having a rim and a top wall extending across the continuous rim, the primary lid having outer threads removably coupled to the threaded section of the side wall. The multifunction drinking assembly includes a coozie lid for securing either a can or bottle, a shaker lid for making mixed drinks, and an infuser assembly and steeper basket for holding loose leaf teas and fruit.

Method, infusion container, and preparation device for preparing an infusion beverage
A method for preparing an infusion beverage is disclosed wherein a dried infusion substance is applied in an infusion container, the latter being present, in the first instance, in a collapsed state and being extendable into an expanded state, An infusion liquid is introduced into the infusion container, wherein the infusion container is expanded. The dried infusion substance in the infusion container is kept in contact with the infusion liquid, in order to form the infusion beverage, over a contact period. The infusion container is then returned to its collapsed state, at least in part, by compression and, in the process, at least some of the infusion beverage is expelled from the infusion container.
