Method for making a durable wood-plastic composite panel upon which plastic films may be readily and securely adhered
09573310 · 2017-02-21 ·

An apparatus and method for fabricating a panel from a molten composite material, and a panel product fabricated accordingly. Two platens in spaced relation define a gap which decreases uniformly from first ends of the platens toward second ends of the platens. Molten composite material is moved through the decreasing gap to compress the material between the platens. Cooling drums cool the composite panel shortly after extrusion. A mesh is rolled into a surface of the extruded panel; the screen remains partially exposed on the panel surface to provide a panel surface amenable to the application of adhesives.

Method for sorting and comprehensively utilizing municipal solid waste

A method for sorting and comprehensively utilizing municipal solid waste includes steps of: 1) feeding the municipal solid waste into a feeding tank through a feeding inlet, then outputting into a breaking device; 2) breaking refuse bags and large blocks by the breaking device; 3) transporting broken refuse into a two-stage roller screen for screening out dusts with a particle size of less than 3 mm, and hanging strips; and 4) transporting mixed refuse screened by the two-stage screen into a vibrating screen; screening oversize products by a heavy winnowing machine for separating inorganic blocks, large plastics and paper; transporting underflow products into a two-room multi-functional winnowing machine for dividing into heavy materials, light materials and medium materials. By effectively combining sorting devices, effective sorting and reutilization of mixed refuse are achieved. Thereafter, paper, fibers, plastics and kitchen organic refuse are respectively for producing refuse derived fuel, wood-plastic composite and fertilizer.

A method and system for recycling wind turbine blades. A scalper scalps off balsa wood and foam from recycled composite chips, a lump breaker shatters the chips produced by the scalper, a hammer mill breaks fiber chips produced by the lump breaker to reduce the chips to strand clusters, a vibratory screen and cyclone air classifier or circular vibratory screener separate strand clusters of acceptable size from larger strand clusters that require repeated processing with a hammer mill, another vibratory screen and cyclone air classifier or circular vibratory screener further separate strand clusters of acceptable size from larger strand clusters that require repeated processing with a hammer mill, and a granulator pulverizes the resulting fiber strand into micro-fibers that can be used as reinforcement fibers.

Clinical waste container (100) comprising a lower basket part (110) and an upper lid part (120), comprising a cylindrical part (121) having an upper lid opening (122); and a lid cap part (130), arranged to be fastened to said lid part so as to cover said lid opening, wherein the lid part and the lid cap part each comprise cooperating snap-lock means (123, 133), comprising several separated elongated protrusions (133a,133b), together defining a broken circle. The lid part comprises at a lower end (124) a bend (125) of at least 60, with an inner radius (R1) of at the most 5 mm and an outer radius (R2) of at the most 5 mm, defining a local material thickness increase of at least 25%. The lid part and the lid cap part comprise at least 30% by volume wooden fibres. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such a container.

METHOD FOR COUNTERACTING SHRINKAGE OF EXTRUDED MATERIALS
20250367875 · 2025-12-04 ·

The present invention is for a method to cause an expansion of material extruded by an extruder after its discharge from the extruder and prior to the material's full solidification. The expansion is caused by springs incorporated into the extrusion slurry. The springs are compressed in the extruder due to its internal pressure and the shear stress. Once released from the extruder, the pressure is released, and the springs expand or straighten, thereby causing an expansion of the extrudate. This expansion can be used to counteract the shrinkage of the extrudate due to processes such as thermal contraction or solvent evaporation, or may be used to otherwise alter the shape of the extrudate after its extrusion.
