The system includes a container with a brewing chamber, which receives a volume of liquid to allow for extracting a soluble substance to form a solution within the liquid. A basket is configured to be received within an internal volume of the container, the basket includes an upper sealing region and an extended portion, the extended portion includes a plurality of holes therethrough. A lid rests upon an upper surface of the container, the lid includes a center hole therethrough, the upper sealing region of the basket rests upon the lid. An assembly is removably mounted with respect to the basket, the assembly comprises a pump, suction inlet, and a fluid outlet, wherein the suction inlet is fluidly connected to a suction of the pump and the fluid outlet is fluidly connected to the outlet of the pump.
VACUUM INFUSION MACHINE AND VACUUM INFUSION METHOD
A process for infusing a consumable substance is described. The process includes the steps of placing a desired amount of an infusion material into a chamber at atmospheric pressure, placing a desired amount of consumable substance into said chamber, sealing said chamber from the surrounding atmosphere, and applying at least one reduced pressure cycle within said chamber. Methods for separating the infusion material from the consumable substance after completion of the infusion process are also described. In addition, devices for infusing liquids or consumable substances, and/or brewing beverages are described. The present nvention relates to an apparatus for brewing beverages or infusing a consumable substance comprising a vessel, said vessel comprising a sealable chamber for holding a brewing or infusion material and a liquid or consumable substance, and a filter assembly connected to the sealable chamber; a liquid supply and conduit for introducing at least a portion of said liquid supply into said sealable chamber; and a vacuum source and conduit for reducing pressure in said sealable chamber.
Apparatus for making beverages using capsules containing a food substance
An apparatus for making beverages using capsules (2) containing a food substance, having at least one image acquisition device (13) suitable for capturing images in electronic format, which show at least one portion of a capsule (2) located in an image capture zone (14) and which operates in the visible spectrum, a lighting device (15) associated with the capture zone (14) for lighting with light in the visible spectrum said portion of a capsule (2), and a detecting device (17) for detecting the presence of a capsule (2) at the capture zone (14) and/or the arrival of a capsule (2) in the capture zone (14), the detecting device (17) being operatively associated with the lighting device (15) for causing the switching of the lighting device (15) from a switched off condition to a switched on condition, depending on the detection of the presence of a capsule (2) at the capture zone (14) and/or of the arrival of a capsule (2) in the capture zone (14).
Beverage dispenser with a plurality of dissolution chambers
The invention concerns a system of: —a beverage preparation apparatus, wherein said apparatus comprises a mainframe (1) supporting a diluent supply (4), at least two container areas (11) with identification means reader device (13), at least two dissolution chamber areas (12), with identification means reader (14), and a user interface (16), and—a multiplicity of containers (2), with identification means (23) identifying the nature of the soluble beverage ingredient the container is designed to store, and—a multiplicity of dissolution chambers (3) with identification means (34) identifying the nature of the soluble beverage ingredient the dissolution chamber is designed to dissolve, wherein the apparatus comprises a control system (18) configured for comparing, for each pair of a container housed in a container area and a dissolution chamber housed in the chamber area positioned under the container area and receiving the soluble beverage ingredient from said container, the identification means (34) of the dissolution chamber and the identification means (23) of the container.
Camera for use with a drink printer
A method and device of providing a customized drink and/or printing on a drink.
Camera for use with a drink printer
A method and device of providing a customized drink and/or printing on a drink.
COLD BREW COFFEE BREWING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A cold brew coffee brewing system to prepare cold brew coffee by extraction of coffee grounds with brew water in a single-past, non-immersion extraction operation uses a tower unit with first and second receiving locations to receive a pre-infusion container for preparation of a pre-infusion mixture of coffee grounds during a pre-infusion operation and to receive an extraction vessel containing the transferred pre-infusion mixture for extraction processing to prepare cold brew coffee product, which is collected in a collection container received in the second receiving location of the tower unit. A brew control system controls operation of the water dispensing system during a cold brewing process cycle, and including a controller unit having stored therein multiple profiles for different cold-brew coffee product that may be prepared at the direction of the controller unit. A network may include multiple such cold brew coffee brewing systems connected with a central server.
COFFEE OR MILK MACHINE AND METHOD OF OPERATING SUCH A MACHINE
A coffee machine including a frother with an outlet channel for coffee and milk foam, and supply channels for milk, air, and steam respectively, and a nonreturn valve to prevent a fluid in one of the channels from flowing in an undesirable direction. The coffee machine also includes a clean water supply channel that connects to the milk supply channel with a T-junction distant from the frother. The T-junction further connects to a source channel for the milk.
Filter vessel, apparatus and method for preparing a filtrate
A filter vessel for preparing a filtrate, in particular of coffee or tea, comprises a cylindrical chamber with a filling opening at the upper end and a base having a filter region at the lower end. During a filtration process, the filter vessel can be placed onto a receiving container. The contact region between the filter vessel and the receiving container is hermetically sealed in an air-tight manner. A negative pressure can be generated in the receiving container by an evacuation device. The filter vessel comprises, on its underside, a recess surrounding the filter region. The recess receives the rim of an opening of the receiving container. A seal is situated in the recess. An air duct has a first duct opening located on the underside of the filter vessel inside the seal, and a second duct opening, which is suitable for connection to the evacuation device.
PORTION CAPSULE HAVING AN IDENTIFIER
A method of making a portion capsule that includes steps of: forming a metal material into a base element that includes: i) a wall extending around a central longitudinal axis to define a cavity, and ii) a rim having a top side and an opposing bottom side; filling the cavity with a beverage material; closing the cavity by attaching a foil cover onto the top side of the rim, the cover being dimensioned and configured to be: i) pierced by the mandrel of the beverage making machine in a piercing region, and ii) sealed by the seal of the beverage making machine in a sealing region; and providing an optically detectable identifier onto the metal material so that the optically detectable identifier results on the bottom side of the rim.
