METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TRIM ELEMENT
20200406599 · 2020-12-31 ·

A cost-effective and resource-saving method for manufacturing a trim element, in particular a trim element which is used as a vehicle interior lining element. The trim element has a rear side reinforcement layer and a decorative surface. In the method according to the invention, a first layer is bonded in a first lamination step under pressure and heat to a first lamination and a second layer is bonded in a second lamination step under pressure and heat to a second lamination. The heat introduced in the second lamination step also acts in the first lamination and increases its bonding strength to the first layer.

Cores for Composite Material Sandwich Panels

Core for a composite material sandwich panel, the core having a rectangular array of aligned elongate elements, composed of balsa wood, in a continuous matrix of a polymeric foam which has been moulded around the elements, wherein the elements each have a polygonal cross-section, the matrix filling voids between adjacent elements and bonding together the elements to form a unitary body and the array of elements extends between the opposite major surfaces in a thickness direction of the core and wherein woodgrain of the elements extends in the thickness direction.

Device and method for manufacturing wood-plastic coated lumber composite

A wood-plastic/lumber composite co-extrusion feeder includes a frame, wherein at least one group of toothed conveying units, a tooth mark milling unit for milling tooth marks on an outer surface of a lumber, and a lumber co-extrusion mold are arranged on the frame in sequence, each toothed conveying unit includes a lower toothed pressure roller installed on a first fixed bearing seat and an upper toothed pressure roller installed on a first movable bearing seat, and after the first fixed bearing seat and the first movable bearing seat are connected by an adjustment unit, a first conveying channel having an adjustable height is formed between the upper toothed pressure roller and the lower-toothed pressure roller.

Carpet waste composite

A composite material is produced from carpet waste and a binding agent, in intimate association, and may also include wood fiber or chips and/or other additives. A method of manufacturing a composite material includes shredding carpet waste, coating the carpet waste with a binding agent, and subjecting the shredded, coated carpet waste to elevated heat and pressure. As an additional step, the composite material may be actively cooled to prevent deformation of the material.
