Heat-sealable packaging material
The present invention is directed to a packaging material free from aluminium in the form of a continuous foil or film, comprising a layer of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC), wherein the layer comprising MFC has been laminated or coated on at least one side with a heat-sealable material. The MFC layer contains at least 60% by weight of microfibrillated cellulose. The present invention is also directed to a method for induction sealing, wherein a packaging material to be heat-sealed by induction is placed against an induction heating surface.
FLOOR AND WALL MAT AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A method of manufacturing a mat is provided. The method involves securing a first layer formed of a polymer within a base die, positioning an intermediate cushion layer on top of the first layer, securing a second layer formed of the polymer to the base die, and securing a perimeter of the first layer to a perimeter of the second layer by radio-frequency welding, so as to envelop the intermediate cushion layer within the first and second layers and thereby form the mat. The first layer has a first surface and an opposing second surface in contact with the base die. The intermediate cushion layer has a first surface and an opposing second surface in contact with the first surface of the first layer. The second layer has a first surface and an opposing second surface in contact with the first surface of the intermediate cushion layer.

INTERCHANGEABLE CONTAINER WITH MOVEABLE SIDE WALLS
The invention relates to a system for producing three-dimensional models. The system preferably includes a z-axis drive unit on a side of a build container that is coupled to a build platform for moving the build platform in a vertical direction.
BLOW MOLDING TOOL AND METHOD FOR THERMALLY PROCESSING A SUBREGION OF A SURFACE OF A PLASTIC CONTAINER
A blow molding tool (1) for a blow molding machine (1). The blow molding tool (1) comprises at least one first blow mold half (2) and one second blow mold half (3). The first blow mold half (2) has a baseplate (4) and a molding body (5). At least one mold cavity (6) with an inner wall (51) is arranged in the molding body (5). At least one region (511) of the inner wall (51) of the mold cavity (6) comprises, in the associated section of the molding body (5), separate temperature control channels (54) for controlling the temperature of the region (54).
Expandable foaming molds and applications thereof
Described herein are expandable foaming molds. The foaming molds described herein permit mold boundaries to expand along with the expanding polymer and thereby conform to the foaming dynamics of the polymer material. By modifying the temperature and pressure applied to the mold devices described herein, the properties of the resulting foamed polymer can be fine-tuned for specific applications.
Latching mechanism for suppository mold
A latching mechanism suitable for suppository molds, where the latching mechanism is designed to assist the separation of mold when the latch is released. In embodiments, the latching mechanism has a lever portion on a first mold half and a catch portion on a second mold half. The lever portion is configured to impinge upon the catch portion to provide a force to bias the first mold half away from the second mold half. Other embodiments include methods of utilizing such a catching mechanism with a suppository mold.
Injection mold and manufacturing method
At a temperature at the time of molding, an end surface of an ejector pin in a sliding direction is as high as or higher than an upper surface of an upper surface portion of a mold body, the upper surface being adjacent to a cavity on the ejector pin side.
BLOW MOLDING TOOL FOR A BLOW MOLDING MACHINE
The invention relates to a blow molding tool for a blow molding machine for producing plastic containers in an extrusion or stretch blow-molding process. The blow molding tool comprises two blow mold halves, each of which comprises at least one molding body in which at least one mold cavity is disposed, and a baseplate that receives said molding body. An insulation block consisting of a thermally insulating material is arranged between the molding body and the baseplate and, optionally, further components of the blow mold halves.
Method and device for connecting fibre-reinforced webs
A process for joining two sheeting articles reinforced with unidirectionally aligned endless-fibres by ultrasonic welding, wherein the fibres are embedded in a matrix of polycarbonate and the sheeting articles have abutting ends that are substantially rectangular and substantially even. The process comprises (1) arranging the sheeting articles next to one another end-to-end in the region of the abutting ends in a welding apparatus between a sonotrode and an anvil, (2) welding the sheeting articles by means of ultrasound, wherein the sonotrode and the anvil exert pressure on the to-be-welded sheeting articles in the melting region between the sheeting articles and perpendicularly to the abutting ends of the sheeting articles, and (3) removing the sheeting articles that are welded to one another from the welding apparatus. Also provided is a second process for joining two sheeting articles, a sheeting article, an apparatus, and a multilayer composite.
