The present invention provides a heat insulated mold having a zirconia insulated layer, the deterioration of which is effectively limited or prevented. The present invention relates to a heat insulated mold having a heat insulating layer between a metal mold base material and a metal film forming a molding surface, wherein: (1) the insulating layer contains zirconia; and (2) a water-blocking layer for blocking entrance of water from the metal film to the heat insulating layer is provided between the heat insulating layer and the metal film.

A method for producing a molding mold 12 for molding a spectacle lens 1 in which a minute protrusion 6 is formed on at least one surface thereof includes a first molding mold preparation step of preparing a first mold 14 that includes a base material 26 and a coating portion 28, the coating portion being made of a nickel alloy, coating the base material, and having a surface formed into a shape corresponding to the shape of one surface of the spectacle lens; and a cutting step of cutting a recess 28A corresponding to the protrusion into the surface of the coating portion of the first mold.
Internal tooling for composite parts
Systems and methods are provided for composite part fabrication. One embodiment is a method for fabricating a composite part. The method includes selecting a tool with sides made of a core material in a desired size and shape, disposing a preform of a fiber reinforced material that surrounds the tool, resulting in a lamina assembly comprising the preform and the tool, heating the tool and the preform, co-bonding the tool to the fiber reinforced material within the lamina assembly, and hardening the preform and the tool into a hybrid composite part.
Filler disposition film
A filler disposition film that can use a commercially procurable filler material having good particle diameter uniformity, enables high positional precision of the filler disposition, can support even an increase in the surface area, and has a prescribed filler regularly disposed in a long resin film. Moreover, the rate of consistency of disposition of the filler in the filler disposition film in rectangular areas of a prescribed size having a length of 1000 times or more the average particle diameter of the prescribed filler, and a width of 0.2 mm or greater is 90% or greater. Such a rectangular area has a long-side direction that is substantially parallel to the long-side direction of the filler disposition film, and a widthwise direction that is substantially parallel to a short-side direction of the filler disposition film. The average particle diameter of the regularly disposed filler is from 0.4 μm to 100 μm.

Such a rectangular area has a long-side direction that is substantially parallel to the long-side direction of the filler disposition film, and a widthwise direction that is substantially parallel to a short-side direction of the filler disposition film. The average particle diameter of the regularly disposed filler is from 0.4 μm to 100 μm.
Binder for injection moulding compositions
A binder for an injection moulding composition including: from 40 to 55 volume percent of a polymeric base, from 35 to 45 volume percent of a mixture of waxes or a mixture of wax and palm oil, and at least 5 volume percent of at least one surfactant, wherein the polymeric base is formed of copolymers of ethylene and methacrylic or acrylic acid, copolymers of ethylene and propylene and/or maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene, and polymers soluble in isopropyl alcohol, propyl alcohol and/or turpentine, and chosen from the group including a cellulose acetate butyrate, a polyvinyl butyral and a copolyamide, the respective quantities of the binder components being such that their sum is equal to 100 volume percent of the binder.
NOZZLE FOR PRODUCING EXTRUSION THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTED MATERIALS
A nozzle for producing material extrusion in a three-dimensional printer includes a shank including an internal flow passage, where the shank is constructed of a first material having a first thermal conductivity. The nozzle also includes a shank barrel mechanically coupled to the shank. The shank barrel is constructed of a second material having a second thermal conductivity. The first thermal conductivity of the first material is different from the second thermal conductivity of the second material to create a first heat break between the shank and the shank barrel, where the first heat break reduces heat transfer between the shank and the shank barrel.
CASTING MOLD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A CASTING HAVING A FRONT AND A BACK FROM A HARDENABLE CASTING COMPOUND
A casting mold for producing a casting having a front side and a rear side from a curable casting compound, including at least a first mold part shaping the front side and a second mold part shaping the rear side, the mold parts together delimiting a casting cavity. The first mold part has a first metal layer delimiting the casting cavity and the second mold part has a second metal layer delimiting the casting cavity. At least one metal layer is at least partially deformable for the purpose of changing the casting cavity volume. At least one mold part has an areal intermediate layer which is composed of an elastically deformable and compressible material and against which the metal layer of the mold part is movable with build-up of a restoring force on the part of the deforming intermediate layer.

The invention relates to a method for creating a surface structure on a mold, wherein first structural elements are created using a laser structuring process in a first step, and second structural elements, which are smaller than the first structural elements, are created using an anodic oxidation process in another step following the laser structuring process. The invention further relates to a mold of said type and finally to a plastic film or a plastic component having a surface structure as well as to a method for the production thereof.

A method of manufacturing a template, has: preparing a substrate containing quartz and having a surface, the surface including a protrusion and a depression; and processing the depression. The processing of the depression includes: a first step of forming a film on the surface, the film including a first region and a second region, the first region being provided on the protrusion, and the second region being provided on a bottom of the depression and being thinner than the first region; a second step of removing the second region with the first region partly remaining to expose the bottom of the depression; and a third step of processing the exposed part of the depression using a mask made of the remainder of the first region.
