A process for packaging a product arranged on a support comprising unrolling a film, moving the film to a packaging assembly defining at its inside a packaging chamber, progressively moving a number of supports inside the packaging chamber of the packaging assembly, closing the packaging chamber with the film sheets held above the respective support, optionally causing one or both of: a gas withdrawal from the hermetically closed packaging chamber and gas injection of a gas mixture of controlled composition, heat sealing the film to said support, wherein the heat sealing uses one or more heaters having heating surfaces which are heated for discrete and short time periods only. An apparatus for performing the above process is also disclosed.

A welding device includes a pair of pressure rollers for pressurizing a web and a strip member, a feed device configured to intermittently or continuously feed the web and the strip member through the pair of pressure rollers, and the laser device configured to irradiate the web or the strip member with a laser beam at a position upstream of the pair of pressure rollers. The welding device may include a movement device configured to move the pair of pressure rollers upstream with respect to the web and the strip member during pause or stop of feed. Alternatively, the feed device may pause or stop the web and the strip member after retracting the web and the strip member by a certain length.

Three-dimensional modeling method
A three-dimensional modeling method comprises modeling a shell layer of a three-dimensional modeling object using a shell material, and modeling a core portion inside of the modeled shell layer using a core material. The modeling of the shell layer is performed by an additive manufacturing technology, and is divided into multiple steps in a lamination modeling direction of the three-dimensional modeling object. The modeling of the core portion includes filling the core material inside of the modeled shell layer subsequent to each modeling of the shell layer that has been divided into the multiple steps, and correctively curing the core material by irradiation with an active energy ray or by application of heat energy after the multiple steps of the modeling of the shell layer and the filing of the core material are all completed.

A compression load distributor includes a support layer and a heat spreading layer. The support layer includes a flexible carrier configured to distribute a load from a compression load applying device. The heat spreading layer is coupled to and carried on the support layer, the heat spreading layer comprising a heat sink configured to transfer heat throughout the compression load distributor. The heat sink is thermally conductive and electrically non-conductive.

A compression load distributor includes a support layer and a heat spreading layer. The support layer includes a flexible carrier configured to distribute a load from a compression load applying device. A caul body for forming a composite structure comprises a laminate having at least one carbon layer and at least one silicone layer. The at least one silicone layer defines an outer surface of the laminate. The laminate has a first region and a second region. A thickness of the at least one carbon layer in the first region is greater than a thickness of the at least one carbon layer in the second region. The first region has a hardness value greater than a hardness value of the second region.

A method of manufacturing a template, has: preparing a substrate containing quartz and having a surface, the surface including a protrusion and a depression; and processing the depression. The processing of the depression includes: a first step of forming a film on the surface, the film including a first region and a second region, the first region being provided on the protrusion, and the second region being provided on a bottom of the depression and being thinner than the first region; a second step of removing the second region with the first region partly remaining to expose the bottom of the depression; and a third step of processing the exposed part of the depression using a mask made of the remainder of the first region.
