A resin molded article having a microphase-separated structure, the resin molded article containing a polyimide resin (A) and a polyether ketone resin (B), the polyimide resin (A) containing repeating structural units of formulae (1) and (2):

Side-gate injection molding apparatus and side-gate nozzle assembly
A side-gate injection molding apparatus and a side-gate nozzle assembly are disclosed. The side-gate nozzle assembly delivers moldable material to a cavity insert that is beside the side-gate nozzle assembly. The side-gate nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body having a nozzle flow channel and a widthwise slot extending across a downstream side of the nozzle body. The nozzle flow channel has an outlet that ends at a wall of the slot. A load component is received in the slot and has a load component flow channel in fluid communication between the nozzle body outlet and an outlet at an end of the load component. A side-gate tip assembly is adjacent to the end of the load component and is in fluid communication between the load component flow channel and the cavity insert. In operation, thermal expansion of the load component presses the side-gate tip assembly towards the cavity insert.
TRANSPARENT TOOLING FOR UV RADIATION CURABLE RUBBER
A mold, a molding apparatus, and a method for manufacturing articles or components is used to manufacture an article or component of the article that at least partially comprises an ultraviolet (UV) curable material. The mold and apparatus comprise at least one mold wall formed of a cyclic olefin copolymer, which is in contact with UV radiation curable material and allows the article or component of the article to be exposed to UV radiation for a period of time in order to provide for at least partial cure thereof.
MOLDED ARTICLE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
There are provided a molded article of a composition containing a vinylidene fluoride-based polymer which, although having a thickness of greater than 50 μm, has a low haze, and a novel method for producing the molded article. The molded article of vinylidene fluoride-based polymer of the present invention has a thickness greater than 50 μm and a haze of 40% or less. In the production of a molded article, a composition of a vinylidene fluoride-based polymer having a predetermined shape is melted at a temperature within a range of the melting point of the polymer ±5° C. and molded.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOULDED BODY
The present invention relates to a method for producing a molded body (10), comprising the following steps: a) providing a molding tool (40) which has at least one receptacle (12) in which at least one material (30) which comprises at least one shape-memory material (31) is introduced, wherein the shape-memory material (31) is present in a first state (111), wherein the material (30) at least partially fills the receptacle (12) of the molding tool (40) in such a manner that said material adjoins at least one surface of the receptacle (12); b) creating a molded body (10) in the receptacle (12) of the molding tool (40) from the material (30), wherein the shape-memory material (31) is present in a second state (112), wherein a form (11) is embossed into the molded body (10) during the second state (112); c) transferring the shape-memory material (31) to a third state (113), wherein the molded body (10) can be deformed during the third state (113) in such a manner that the molded body (10) is demolded from the receptacle (12) of the molding tool (40); and d) at least partially restoring the form (11) of the molded body (10) by transferring the shape-memory material (31) to a fourth state (114), wherein the molded body (10) at least partially resumes the form (11) according to step b) during the fourth state (114).
HEAT-SHRINKABLE PLASTIC ELEMENT, COMPOSITE PREFORM, AND COMPOSITE CONTAINER
A heat-shrinkable plastic element that can notably improve insertability of a preform is provided. The heat-shrinkable plastic element is disposed on at least part of the outside of a preform, the preform including a mouth part, a body part linked to the mouth part, and a bottom part linked to the body part, the heat-shrinkable plastic element including: at least a layer containing (A) an ionomer resin and (B) an olefin resin as essential constituents, wherein the heat-shrinkable plastic element has a storage modulus at 25° C. of at least 4.0×10.sup.8 Pa, and the dynamic friction coefficient between the heat-shrinkable plastic element and the preform is at most 1.1.
Composite shape memory materials
A multilayered composite shape memory material includes a coextruded first polymer layer of a first polymer material and a second polymer layer of a second polymer material. The composite shape memory material after thermomechanical programming being capable of undergoing at least one temperature induced shape transition from a temporary shape to a permanent shape. The first polymer layer defines a hard segment of the shape memory material that provides the shape memory material with the permanent shape, and the second polymer layer defines a switching segment of the shape memory material that provides the shape memory material with the temporary shape.
