Method for preparing structured adhesive articles
Methods of forming laminating adhesive articles include providing a multi-layer article, and a tool with a structured surface. The multi-layer articles include a substrate, an adhesive layer, and a liner. The multi-layer article is placed between the structured surface of the tool and a support surface that is hard and the tool is embossed against the liner by applying pressure or pressure/heat. The embossing causes the tool structures to distort the liner and the adhesive layer, and causes permanent topological changes in a portion of the adhesive layer, but does not distort the substrate. The distortion in the liner is retained upon release of the applied pressure. The portions of topologically changed adhesive can form convex structures that are permanent. Upon removal of the liner from the adhesive layer, the concave structures on the adhesive layer are unstable, but the convex structures are stable.
Imprint apparatus and method of manufacturing article
The present invention provides an imprint apparatus which forms a pattern in an imprint material on a substrate using a mold, the apparatus comprising a deformation unit configured to deform at least one of the mold and the substrate, and a control unit configured to control a process of starting contact between the mold and the imprint material in a state in which the at least one is deformed, and then gradually increasing a contact area between the mold and the imprint material by gradually decreasing a deformation amount of the at least one, wherein the control unit controls relative positions of the mold and the substrate based on the deformation amount, so as to maintain a relative positional relationship between the mold and the substrate at a region where the mold and the imprint material are contact with each other.
ANTIMICROBIAL COLLOIDAL SILVER PRODUCTS AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
Gelatinous materials combined with the Colloidal Silver additive to formulate an antimicrobial product having cushioning properties. Embodiments of the present invention can include gelatinous materials selected from a group consisting of thermosetting polymer, Styrene-Ethylene-Butadiene-Styrene polymer (SEBS), Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), and Polyurethane (PU) gelatin with and without a raised geometry on an outer surface.
MASTER MOLD FOR PATTERN TRANSFER
In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method comprising: disposing upon a first substrate, a first coating; texturing the first coating with a stamp; treating the textured first coating to form a master mold; where the master mold contains a mirror image of the texture contained in the first coating; and transferring the texture from the master mold to a second substrate.

Anti-Sticking Perfluoroelastomer Articles and Methods of Making
Methods of making anti-sticking perfluorinated articles are described. The methods include molding curing, and heat-treating a composition prepared from a coagulated and dried blend of latex dispersions of a perfluoro-elastomeric gum and a perfluoroplastic. The curing steps are performed at temperatures below the melting point of the perfluoroplastic, while the heat-treatment step occurs at a temperature above this melting point. The resulting articles are also described.
Insulation sheet forming apparatus
An insulation sheet forming apparatus that forms an insulation sheet having one or more bent regions includes an unwinding module; a preforming module configured to form a preforming region on the insulation sheet supplied from the unwinding module; and a bending module configured to form the bent region on the insulation sheet by bending the insulation sheet supplied from the preforming module, in which the preforming module has a width which is adjustable in a width direction that intersects a movement direction of the insulation sheet.
Foldable Composite Structures
Foldable composite structures and methods for fabricating foldable composite structures are provided. For example, a method comprises selectively applying a rigidifying substance to a sheet of composite material to define a plurality of hinges; allowing the rigidifying substance to cure; and folding the sheet of composite material along the hinges to form the composite structure. As another example, a method comprises laying out flat a sheet of composite material; masking a plurality of hinges on the sheet; applying a polymer to a sheet face; curing the polymer; removing the masking; and folding the sheet along the hinges to form the composite structure. An exemplary foldable composite structure comprises a planar sheet of composite material folded to define a plurality of surface segments and a plurality of hinges. A portion of the hinges form peaks and the remainder of the hinges form valleys. The hinges are defined between adjacent surface segments.
Ejection material receiving unit, ejection material ejecting apparatus, and manufacturing method of flexible member
There is provided an ejection material receiving unit capable of increasing the filling amount of ejection material with as little enlargement of the container itself as possible and an ejection material ejecting apparatus including the unit. Therefore, an ejection material receiving unit includes: a first receiving space capable of receiving ejection material; a second receiving space capable of receiving liquid; and a flexible member separating the first receiving space and the second receiving space, and is characterized in that the flexible member has a concave part which takes a concave shape in a state where the first receiving space is not filled with the ejection material and the second receiving space is not filled with the liquid, and the concave shape is a shape dented toward the second receiving space from the first receiving space, and is also a shape conforming to a wall forming the second receiving space.
Method for making a slip resistant mat
A method for making a slip resistant mat can include assembling parts with predetermined geometries to form a mold that can be used for making slip resistant mats that have channels to account for moisture between the mat and the floor. The unique geometries of the parts which form the mold can be manufactured efficiently and with reduced costs. The mold of this invention can be used to make slip resistant mats with channels that can both dissipate water and offer a high degree of mat to floor surface contact.
